Copier not functioing correctly

My copier won't copy correctly. I put a page to be copied on the platen and press the start button and the copier pushes the paper through but no image. No alarm light is on. All this happened after I scanned some pictures to a folder. After this my copier doesn't work correctly anymore.
What do you think is wrong...settings?

Changed the black printer cardtridge on a canon mp160 and getting errror code E19 when trying to align the heads...any idea why, and how to fix please? Thanks

This error idicates that the size of the document cannot be correctly detected or the document is too small when the Fit-to-Page copying is selected or the unit Failed to scan head alignment sheet correctly.

The remedy is

Make sure the document meets the requirements and correctly loaded on the Platen Glass. Then reload the document and press the Black or Color button.
Check that all necessary circles are filled in the Print Head Alignment Sheet, and that it is placed in the proper position and orientation on the Platen Glass. You can also perform print head alignment manually.

If you have an ADF, please put the 35 originals in the ADF and just press the Start button.
You will have 35 copies in the output tray.
If you don't have an ADF, please put one original on the platen glass, close the platen cover and press the start button.
Then replace the original by the 2nd one and continue the rest of the procedure and do also for the remaining originals.

Good luck and please rate me, thanks.

Platen is open message, What is the platen?

Platen is usually referred to as the Copy glass ( Platen Glass) this is where you lift the top to put it onto the glass to make a copy.
Never heard of this message , was it serviced? usually the techs open it to clean the Optics (mirrors) inside. There should be a metal plate with 2-4 screws that hold it.

HP 1210 all in one printer does not have a maintenance button to allow me to align cartridges. Prints landscape pages out of alignment; I have tried taking the cartridge out and putting it back but it...

On the printer hold down the CANCEL button then press and hold the ON/RESUME button until the CHECK PAPER and CHECK PRINT CARTRIDGE LIGHT both blink simultaneously.
When both lights are blinking press CANCEL, COPIES, PAPER TYPE, and COLOR START COPY one after the other. All this must be done in under 10 seconds for it to work. Once this sequence of buttons is completed correctly in under ten seconds an alignment page will print.

Copying using the Duplex function

Press on duplex button and scan your originals one by one on the platen mode (exposure glass). You cannot use the ADF for this function.
After every scan press the Start button.
After the last page please press the enter button as displaying in the display.
Then the copier itself can finish making duplex copies as you wanted.
Good luck and please rate me, thanks.

Verical line(s) problem with canon mp780

Hi Nick, It's ONLY when you copy? I start by cleaning the platen glass. Wipe the Platen Glass with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth moistened with water. Then wipe with a clean, soft, dry, lint-free cloth making sure not to leave any residue, especially on the Platen Glass. If you have trouble getting the scanning area clean, wipe with diluted mild detergent (for dish washing). Do the same thing for the white area under the platen lid. If this does not resolve the problem let me know. His Dudeness
