Question about Dell Latitude D600 Notebook
I bought a Dell D600 recently. It was a refurbished item and I have been very happy with it.
All of a sudden yesterday morning, whilst typing, it either gave me the "DO YOU WANT TO SAVE THIS DOCUMENT" dialog box, or the dialog box that appears when you right click in the middle of a document, came up. Obviously it stops any typing and beeps at you.
I have restarted several times. Done a troubleshoot with HELP & SUPPORT. Picked at the keys to make sure none are stuck - and still no luck.
Please help me if you can. I certainly dont want to appear in the newspaper as the "lady from South Africa that threw her Dell out of the window and followed".
Tee hee... jokes aside. I am SO frustrated and cant do any work at all.
Thanks so much.
I have had this same problem before and it happened after I spilled tea (with sugar), on my keyboard. It may be that the prior owner spilled something on the keyboard. This can be fixed by ordering a new keyboard (the plastic circuit board), that fits underneath the actual keyboard. They can be purchased through Dell or Ebay and take about 10 minutes to install.
