Underneath the mouse the little compartment that holds the usb stick can be removed to reveal the battery compartment.

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

The response of the cursor of my samsung laptop is too slow. It hanged up. And i don't know how to open the battery. Any advice?

You can change the mouse speed in the mouse settings sections in your Control Panel.
To open the battery...or well, actually remove the battery (don't open the battery itself, it contains hazardous acidic materials inside, you should never ever open a battery), take a look at the bottom of your laptop. You'll be able to see two small sliders, slide those outwards (to the sides, left and right of the laptop) and your battery will be able to unhook itself. I hope this has been of help to you?

I have a MS wireless notebook optical mouse 3000, for weeks it has been working fine but all of a sudden it is now having issues - not able to work with my laptop. the troubleshooter suggested i change the...

You need to change the batteries. You'll need 1 AA battery. To open the battery compartment (which is on top of the mouse where your palm rests) you need to press the shiny silver/red button that is on the rear of the mouse. Sometimes its stuck so just fiddle with it until it pops open. Replace the battery. When you reclose the battery compartment you just snap it in place but be carefull.. even though its easier to insert the top and then slide the bottom down in DO THE REVERSE... insert the bottom prong allllll the way in and then snap the top forward and into pace. In order for the battery to work the top needs to be firmly in place and I've found that snapping it in in the aforementioned way is the only way to make sure its snug n stuff.

Hope that helps. I've had this mouse for five years and love it but alllways forget that issue in replacing the battery and inevitably spend fifteen minutes scratchin ma head everytime the battery needs replacement.

Changing the batteries

I'll give you info on how to change batteries in two different type mouse units. Not sure what type you have.

The normal way to change batteries on a mouse is to turn it over and open the little door on the bottom The compartment holds 2 AA batteries.

Normal 0 If the mouse doesn't have a little door to open on the bottom, then try this.
Just behind the Left and Right keys where your hand rests, apply firm pressure down on the cover and slide to the rear. Some mouse manufactures have used this type of access to replace the batteries.

Hope this helps. Bud
