Insignia LCD 19" (NSLCD19) not working/ only power bottom blinking from orange to green/ no screen

Hello everybody,

I bought the 19" LCD insignia television at BestBuy (Westcandle, FL). I did not receive a remote control.
When I install the television, the power bottom is only blinking from orange to green. I have tried everything, but unfortunately without result.
I also contacted Insignia and Best Buy, but they were not able to help me.
What is the problem? Is the television locked? Is the television broken? Do I really NEED that specific remote control to put it on? Any suggestions?

I hope one of you knows how to solve this problem.

Thanks in advance

I had trouble getting mine going until I had the right combination of channel and buttons in the back. I didn't get a remote either and the generic one we bought especially for Insignia will not work. I change channels using my good old fingers and the side buttons. I am still looking for a remote that works. Good luck with yours. Just take your time and be patient. It took me awhile to get the right combination. This TV has lots of built in channels. Linda

Insignia? 37 720p Flat Panel LCD HDTV will not

Power-cycle the unit (turn it off and unplug for several minutes). If you're unable to power the unit on successfully, the TV probably requires repairs. In home service can be obtained by calling 1-888-237-8289 in the U.S. or 1-866-237-8289 in Canada.

Green screen using HDMI input

Try using the RGB component input and see what happens. If it's normal, then you might have a software issue in the set. You'll get the same quality out of RGB as you would HDMI.

Insignia NS-LCD19 is not producing a picture

You might need to change the input on the TV. I'm almost certain that it will have a DVI and Coaxial input among others.

Check the monitor for an input button or pull up the menu and see if there is different input selector.

Insignia Ns LCD-19 Turns on but no sound or picture

Insignia is Best Buy's store brand which is an LG tv. The power supply board needs to be tested to see if all the voltages it produces are present. If they are, then look at replacing the main board.
