Problem for Asante (99-00618-71) Router

Can I reset the address of the router?

Trying to get the Asante router to speak to the router downstairs, I manually changed the ip address of the router itself. That didn't fix my problem, but now I can't configure the router anymore. The ip address you're supposed to use won't open the configuration software for the router and nothing happens when I put in the new ip address I assigned. Is there any way to reset the router back to factory defaults? Or have I just completely destroyed the router at this point?

-   I am not able to remove the limit of Megavideo.I tried to unplug the router for some time but it doesn't work.It is not changing my IP address and that what I want .If there is anyway I can change the IP address of my computer.We are 4 computers connected wirelessly to the router. -   amitbhuttan

wire a computer directly with ypor router.

Have contact? if Yes you can read the IP adress within your operating software.

READ!!
Connecting two routers to each other is not difficult but is a lot more work than only changing the IP address. Firewall/ DHCP and other settings have to be changed on both routers. You need to look this up in the manuals of your routers.
