So now the pc and printer both work again ?

If your using a Usb try

-Restarting and unplugging everything then connect it again
-Plugging it in a different Usb port.

Well, that's all I got for now, respond with mroe details if you can.

First identify whether its your printer or computer thats not working, considering you got a new printer it must be your old printer.

I hate to say this, with lack of expertise on "power surged printers", but I think you have to get a new printer.

    Sorry, that's all I got.

well, if the printer is not worth servicing you'll have to get a new one.

Lexmark has godd printers, I have the X1240 and its been easy to install and use and its quite efficient on ink.

I also owned an Epson CX4800, although this one is very user-friendly, its not as efficient as the Lexmark.

    Sorry, that's all I got.

    Good luck.

what you can do is first check if your printer will work on other computers. if so, then you may say that the problem is not with the printer and its on the pc. but if printer still wont work on other computers, then its time for your printer to check with the service center.

hope this helps

Disconnect from everything, hold power button for 30 seconds, then leave it still disconnected for a few hours.

Turn the product power off, wait at least 30 seconds, and then turn the product power on and wait for
it to initialize.
If you are using a surge protector, remove it. Plug the product directly into the wall socket. Turn the
product power on
Replace the fan
if mot fixed
Replace the board

Two problems: 1) Fan keeps running 2) Can't

1.The fan should run as long as the laptop is on to keep your laptop's internal components cool.

I have a Brother DCP 7040. I changed the ink toner cartridge. I followed instructions exactly. I got a message to clean the wire. I had already done that, but I did it again several times. I still got...

this sounds like a fun problem, have you tried plugging the power for brother into a different wall socket, and not a surge surpressor, maybe even move it to another room. it is possible that the machine may not be getting enough power.

Dell desktop suddenly making surging noises from the tower .It doesn't feel hot.8 months old.Surging lasts a few seconds

this sounds like the hard drives working extras hard. can be caused by malware and viruses as well as anti virus software and realtime protection. the computer might also have a bad bearing in one of the computers fans when you shutdown and power backup listen to the back by the power supply. see if its coming from their or from the cpu cooler. replace as necessary.

Tv will not power up when turned on after a power surge occurred.

Prayfully the fuse inside the tv took a little shock and broke ...if not that would leave the transformer or the board took a surge also but this would also depend on a little more details...

was the power surge damaged?
was tv plug damaged?
does the power surge still work (if it wasn't damage)
and not all power surges are power surges unless it specified of purchase most are like power surges but are only close to and a extended extention cord updated..

if the power surge is damaged or even still works then go have the fuse check and any further damage will also show up on the board it will have a burned part...

Have you checked the fuse[s]? You don't mention your location so I cannot comment of what protection devices that may be involved. UK has fused 13amp wall plugs for example.
