My Dell Axim 50 suddenly will not turn on.
Press the power button and the left side record button simultaniously for about 10 seconds. Usually this problem happens when the primary software image cannot be located or is corrupt. Also check to ensure your SD Card is in properly. If that doesn't do the trick upgrade.
Mine wouldn't turn on. When connected to the charger it would turn on, but would not recognize any taps or work. I checked the Owner's Manual and you can perform a "soft reset". Using the stylus, hit the reset button on the back once quickly (do NOT hold for more than a tap) and it reset and is working fine now.
CHECK LOCK BUTTON ON LEFT SIDE...This solution is already posted, but I wanted to repeat it for new users like myself. (It might be an old device, but it's new to me!!! I didn't even know there was an unlock button.) But mine was locked (inadvertently), alright! Luckily, I backed up before doing a hard reset or I would have lost everything. BACKUP BEFORE COMPLETING A HARD RESET.
Try performing a hard reset and make sure the lock button is Off
It might be on, check the screen is on max brightness.

Same problem. Won't turn on. Hitting reset brings up a screen with a choice to press buttons, but pressing buttons does not work. Frustrating!
none of these mentioned fixes are working for me.
