Question about Tomtom ONE GPS Receiver
I've had tom tom one 3rd edition for about a month. I turned it on one day and it came up with a screen that said 'Would you like to sign the internal memory?' I clicked 'yes', but it just turns itself off. I turned it back on again and it said the same. I then clicked 'no', and it just went onto a screen that said 'internal memory is not signed, please reboot', so i said continue (the only option) and it turned itself off and then back on again... only to come up with the same screen i started off with! I've read the manual but it doesnt say anything about the matter, and i've also tried the online manual but still no luck. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

My 510 was doing the exact same thing.
I called customer support and they helped me get it working again.
866-486-6866 is the number but here is what they had me do.
I had to push down the reset button for 15 seconds (the reset is in a small cut out near where you plug in the charger on the bottom.you will need to use a pin and you will feel the pin push in the button if you have it in the right spot.)
Then release the reset and hold down the power button for 10-15 seconds. the screen should come right back on.
If you need more help I suggest calling the 866# they are very helpful.

This is from my tomtom one (not sure what edition) so the page numbers refer to mine.
1.Touch the screen for the menu
2.on page 1 of 3 on the menu, touch the blue wrench (change prefs)
3.press the black right arrow key to page 4 of 7 in preferences and touch the flags icon
4.press your desired language

Hello, Unplug your Tomtom device, batteries should be fully charged. The tricky thing to Tomtom devices is the ROM put into the device. It needs to be reset once in awhile. The soft reset is like formatting a hard drive but leaving the system files alone. At the bottom of the device, there is a reset button. You'll need to use the end of a paperclip to reset the unit. After it's reset, reinstall the Tomtom application only by using the Tomtom Home application. Let it reset itself and come back to the original screen, then go to menu and set your preferences. Also if it's connected to Tomtom home and if you backed up your data to your computer, reinstall your maps. The only time your Tomtom device gets bogged down and won't finish a reinstall is when all 1 GB of memory is used up. Hope this helps.
