Question about Zenith IQC50H94W 50" Rear Projection Television

Convergence problem I found resistors RK50, RK54, and RK57 burned, would you know the values. Thanks

    The RK50, RK54, and RK57 are location printed on the board not resistance value information.

Go ahead and replace the burned resistors but you need to find out "why" they burned. You may find out that the new ones will also burn up if something else is at fault. Don't just stop there. Look for a cause.

I looked around and i found 1 each of the following 1W axial lead fusible resistors: 1.5, 1.8, 2.2, 2.7, 3.3, 3.9 Ohms.
this is for Hitachi kit but they should be close maybe you could narrow it down
im assuming you replaced the stk's already

RK50 is 2.2ohm 1 watt Metal film @ 5% tolerance
RK54 is 1.5ohm 1watt Metal film @ 5% tloerance

I acnnot locate an RK57 anywhere on the convergence schematic. could you recheck that number and I will look again. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything further.

Hitachi 61swx10b HDTV - Convergence problems. User 'gdroukas' mentioned in a post that it is probably the convergence amps and a few resistors that have changed value. Can anyone be a bit more specific? ...


Convergence ICs are Big Black ICs and will have the part number on them. STK392-110,
upgrade to 120s or 150s better ICs.
Resistors to replace are RK42 3.3ohms, RK46 1.8 ohms, RK50 2.7ohms,RK54 1.5, RK58 3.9 ohms. RK62 2.2ohms
Mats Electronics has STK ICs 1-800-628-1118 order convergence Kit that comes with resistors.
ACME has the Convergence resistors they must be 1 watt resistors 1-800-575-9833

I need to find the value of rx50 rx54 rx58 on hitichi dp1x convergence board


The DP1X was used in various Hitachi Models and those resistors have different ratings depending on the Model number. Post your model number and I can list the ratings for those resistors for you. Also do you mean RK50, RK54 and RK58 as those are convergence resistors board location prefixes that usually get blown. Double check the Prefixes.

Hitachi 50FX20B convergence problem


RK42 is 2.7 ohm 1watt
RK46 &RK54 are both 2.2 ohm 1watt
RK50 & RK62 are both 3.3 ohm 1watt
RK58 is 3.9 ohm 1watt
They are all metal film (flameproof) 5% resistors

Incorrect resistors on DP1X PWB?


Assuming this unit was never worked on and it was actually working properly before the IC's decided to take a vacation I would recommend leaving them alone as there may have been an engineering change after the service manual was printed.

note use flame proof resistors 1W
rk42=3.3ohm/rk46=1.8ohm/rk50=2.7ohm/rk54=1.5ohm/rk58=3.9ohm/rk62=2.2ohm

Hitachi has created a repair kit part# X480293 for this problem. It includes: (2)STK392-150 convergence ic's,resistors RK42 = 3.3 ohms,RK46 = 1.8 ohms,RK50 = 2.7 ohms,RK54 = 1.5 ohms,RK58 = 3.9 ohms,RK62 = 2.2 ohms,all 1 watt resistors.
