Kenmore gas dryer wasnt heating. We called a appliance repair place and they sent a tech. The tech looked at the dryer and charged us 125.00 for the service call and 129.88 for a "HI-LINE" thermostat. I think we got robbed. Can someone tell me if HI-Line even makes thermostats for a kenmore gas dryer?

St George UEO-7 stopped working

The pop is the key. It sounds internal. The cost of a repair guy depends on ware you live. I would expect between 80-125 for the visit and the part could vary. So you could call the tech to see if it is worth fixing. Or at least find out what the part is and then buy the part and fix it your self. Many times the fee to have the tech look at the appliance is not charged if you have the appliance repaired.
The element going out should not effect the clock. The clock is 110 and the element is 220. There is something that acts like a fuse inside the unit it is designed to shut the unit down if it reaches an extreme temperature. But I also believe these rest them selves as they are not fuses but a heat sensor type thing. I would turn off the power and poke around first and then call a couple of techs and get prices on house calls.

sounds like the insulation on the cord has been worn through and is shorting out. turn off the breaker pull out the oven and look where the cord goes into the oven and look for black burn marks.

Bake cycle wont work gas kenmore with electric controls you can set temp it goes to preheat and nothing happens broiler works and all the tops work

Hello,

here is a tip i wrote covering that

What the problem is when your gas oven ignitor glows,but no heat for the...

MessageRate.ThreadID = 9947539; MessageRate.ProductID = 0;

The problem beleive it or not is that the bake ignitor is weak ,and it is not drawing the proper amprage to open the gas valve.If you have a amp meter access the wires to the bake ignitor(usually behind the storage drawer) and check for 3.3-3.6 amps when oven is set to bake by clamping the meter around ONE wire wire of ignitor make sure only one wire,either one and not both.
if amp draw less than 3.3-3.6 amps replace bake ignitor. I know it seems improbable that if the ignotor comes on that it could be the problem.Professional appliance technicians who would charge a average of $250.00 to repair your oven,have found when the ignitor comes on yet the oven won't heat that a weak ignitor is the cause 100% of the time

My kenmore electric oven works on the 4 burners on top, but the oven part does not heat at all.

There is an upper and lower burner, since it's not heating at all it's either your gas control valve or your temperature control board.

Note: If you have Sears service come out to repair your stove beware, We had them fix our stove. They told us there would be a $65 charge for them to come out but if we had the repair done it would be included in the repair price. Instead after they had our stove torn all apart they told us we would have to pay both charges or they would just leave with our stove in piece and we would still owe them the $65.

Oven doesn't heat up enough

More than likely the oven requires a new thermostat, but would recommend an Appliance Repairer to confirm this solution.

Oven will not heat to temperature setting

Called a Sears Tech to check it out. He found it was the control board/clock/timer. He said it was the first one he had seen go bad, and was happy I had the part number from your site, as it did not yet appear on his computer.
