Re: help

I have a brand new one with the same problem I contacted Jabra Support in AU on 1800 636 086 They advise that it is dead batery if yeaft for a very long time with out charge the batery will die and will not charge.

If its under waranty they will advise to send it back to them and repalces it with a new 2008 model.

Another isssue is look at the date, on the side of the box. My brand new one said 20/07 indicating it had been on the shelf 1 year before it was shipped.

Hope this helps

Jabra wave battery suddenly won't charge

The battery may be shot and incapable of charging. The red light could be merely indicating that the charger is working.

Everytime i put my jadra bluetooth headset on charge its like in 5 minutes it will just cut off im wondering if it is broken or what

I would charge it using anohter charger, or through the USB into the computer if available. If it still holds a charge for so little time then call jabra for a warranty replacement,

It did not charge

The you have either not inserted the charging plug fully, the charging socket is faulty, the charger is not working, or the battery has failed.

I'll assume that you're familiar enough with your headset not to have done the first option. The charging socket is probably ok if there's no obvious visible damage and it's likely that the charger is working too as they're so reliable, but you can always eliminate it as a possibility by borrowing another charger or testing the socket output against the figures printed on the charger.

But by far the most likely culprit is the built-in rechargeable battery. It's not designed to be replaceable as the complete headset is only expected to last two years, but Jabra do have a one year warranty on it: if it fails they just exchange the complete headset for a new one (or the charger if that proves faulty). Your unit can't be very old as the model is a fairly recent one, so you should first try for a repair, refund or replacement (your choice) from the retailer (a legal right under the Sale of Goods Act if you're in the UK) and then contact Jabra directly if either the retailer won't help or if Jabra has told them to refer all repair claims to them.

You'll find a link to the warranty terms here.

Go to this site, and it will walk you through each step to connect your particular Jabra headset with your cellphone. Choose the headset, and then at the next page, choose your phone. Moving your mouse over each step will change the picture to what you should be seeing on your phone at each step. Pls come back and let us know if this solved your problem.

Unit will not charge. Red light just flashes

I had a similar problem with two new units.
Pressing the pairingbutton and de on/off button at the same time, while the unit was on the charger, solved the problem for one of the two.
The other still wouldn't charge.
On this one I had to do the same, but for a longer period (2 minutes at least). This solved the problem on this one too.

BT500V won't charge

This happens because the battery gets too low to take a charge.
To jump start the headset, connect the power lead and the LED will be flashing red. now press and hold the power and BT pairing buttons. The LED should change to solid red.
I found that holding both buttons for about 3-5 minutes allowed the battery to get enough charge to start charging and you can release the buttons and the headset will continue to charge.
If the led starts flashing again, just repeat the process again.
Hope this helps...
