Problem for Toshiba Satellite A25-S307 (PSA20U-07FX4V) PC Notebook
Toshiba DVD ROM SD R6012 can not burn DVD in my Satellite A25-S307
I can not burn my own DVD, but I can watch DVD movie in my laptop

- Hello djnick989!No, I think it is not the case. At first, I can burn CD discs, even Video CD using Nero.
I easyly had burned a lot of DVDs before some time ago I had a big problem with my harddrive.I had to replace on a new one in Toshiba shop in our area (Boston, MA). All stuff has been recovered. But this function - only DVD burning - not.
What's yuor other idea? And recovery disc is usele4ss in this regard.

might be a cd rw /dvd rom player only not burner ? u can buy extrenal dvd rw 79 bucks at any store

I have this exact same problem! I've been high and low trying to find a solution. The simpleton that I am I never looked up the model number of the dvd recorder drive. Now I find this question over 2 years later! I changed my hard drive in my laptop just like you did--Ghosted the drive just to get the cd recovery disc to work and it still gave me ****! Most of my drivers are set to default. I WANT MY COMPUTER THE WAY IT CAME! Even taking it in for service didn't help. I feel I've made progress and I'm not alone...I don't have a solution sorry, but I'm going to figure it out and when I do I will send a link to the driver. I have a Toshiba Satellite 5205 series. Finally this page will come up when somebody looks that model number--GEEZE!
