I have a GE Profile Artica Refrigerator and our area had a brief power outage. And on the next day I noticed the freezer was running at 20 degrees F, when it should of been running at 0 F. What to do?

It is unlikely that a power outage by itself will cause your problem. Recheck hour refrigerator thermostat. It should regulate to 38-42 degrees F. You can take an outdoor thermometer and put it into the fridge compartment, leave it for an hour or two and check. Adjust as necessary. If that doesn't fix it, we can proceed further.

first run the diagnostics on the unit from the tech sheet inside the unit, then if thermistors are bad replace these there are 2 one on the left and one on the right wall in both fridge and freezer,if good per diagnostics then replace the electronic damper door located between the fridge and freezer compartments in the upper left hand corner of the fridge behind the plastic grille as these doors break and jamb open or shut and the temps can no longer be regulated during the diagnostics tests you can hear this door operate if its operating correctly, lastly,if these fail to solve your problem, replace the main control board in the back behind a panel

Freezing food in frig. , not making ice .

Freezing food in the fridge also freezes the water line for the ice maker.
You have a thermostat problem. Get a new thermostat fitted.

This could be a fan motor problem. Check to see if the fans are running and if not take a look at this page http://www.appliance-repair-it.com/refrigerator-fan-motor.html

If the compressor is not running this page will help http://appliance-repair-it.com/GErefrigeratorrepair.html

There could be a defrost problem, look on the back wall of the freezer to see if it is covered with heavy frost. If so your problem is that it is not defrosting. This page will help http://appliance-repair-it.com/GE-refrigerator-repair.html

Water is not coming out of the water dispenser. The filter is fine and the ice machine is working. There are no leaks; but I can't get any water from the fridge.

the water for ice is not the same as for the foutain . it has a dual valve and one side of valve could be bad . other could be water line is frozen . if vegees freeze then the water line could . set the fresh food side a little warmer and in 24 hr it may be ok . **** .

GE Profile Arctica PSS25SGNA BS Icemaker is not working seems to be filling with water but no ice.

The water dispenser and ice maker side run separate sides of the water control valve. Fill ice maker with tap water and let it freeze. If it dumps the ice then does not refill then the water control valve is the problem. I will be back soon with a photo and some links, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Wow, so you dropped some money into it, eh? I would take a look at the damper door asslb(DIFFUSER). located at the very top left of your refrigerator section in back. It has a motorized door that opens and close's and it may be stuck open. More than likely it is broken and needs to be replaced. GOODLUCK!!!!

FYI: All your cold air in your refrigerator comes from your freezer!
