Do a compression test on it

Follow the spark plug wire back into the generator. It ends at the coil.

30 amps. The adapter only splits the voltage. The RV has the breakers to protect itself.

Make sure you use a new spark plug. If it has points, the thickness of a match book usually works, and cleans the points at the same time.

Coil to armature VERY CLOSE. 0.010" like two pieces of paper thick

How do you replace the cam in the motor of a craftsman model 580327360

Please check the obvious, fuel, filter, do you have a spark at the plugs? if yes then a fuel issue. If it starts with starter fluid spray then it sounds like a carb issue. If it still won't do a compression test

try running it with nothing hooked up if it runs fine, then the power draw is to much for it that would cause it to hunt !!!
