I've bought a new PC running 64 bit Windows 7, and my installation disk won't load. Anything that can be done?

Yes if you have the Phillips WACS700 and want to install the software that came with the system to upload/download music and you have a windows 7 or Vista you need to open the explorer and go to the CD/DVD folder then look for the .exe change the properties of the .exe files to run in compatibility mode "compatible with Windows XP SP2", then run them from the explorer. I have a Win 7 computer and both software that came with the CD did not wanted to run because they required XP, as soon as I change the properties of the files they ran and installed without a glitch, everything worked as it should and I been able to enjoy my music on the WACS700.

I take it you have use Wac DMM and given it the folder where your music is stored...

All you have to do is rip your CD to that folder and then upload it.

Saving music on hard drive

After the MP3 songs are transferred from the PC to the Music Center via DMM, do not disconnect the power cord. The Center is updating its internal database to mark the changes of music library. Wait for around 20 minutes to let the Center update the database completely. When the internal updating is complete, you will be allowed to turn the Center into ECO Standby mode.

WAC700 Wireless music center

This can be caused by either corrupt firmware, or bad connection between the front panel and main unit.

The firmware can be restored as follows:

Unpluck the unit from the mains.

Press and hold [STOP] & [SOURCE]

Plug unit into mains.

Continue to hold the two buttons until the recovery message appears on screen.

If the progress bar doesn't move at all within 5 minutes, then this is not the problem.

This problem can also be caused by the ribbon cable connection between the front panel and the main unit. Sometimes the problem can be cured by disconnecting both ends of the cable.

The firmware should still be ok in this case.

There are multiple processors in the WACS700 unit, and the problem occurs when they can't talk to each other.

An authorised service agent should be able to sort the problem with a replacement cable.
