My Controlpad683 is mesisng up my keyboard

Hi there,
I´m trying to use the controlpad683 and for whatever reason it looks like it´s messing up my regular keyboard layout.
Is there a fix for this ? I guess it´s a common problem since it tried in another notebook and had the same problem.

If you've changed keyboards and install the operating system and it is still happening then you've done about all there is you can do in case if it was hardware or virus related.

Have you tried booting up in Safe Mode and see if the keys work there? If so you still have a virus that has hijacked your keyboard.
Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn itback on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFEMODE. Take the Safe Mode option and let it boot up. Safe Mode will lookdifferent to you, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this isnormal. If it still does not work in Safe Mode try a Virtual Keyboard that

Go to and in the search box type:"" (without the quotes). Click the link to goto the site and look on the left side when the site opens up and you will see agray area that says FIND SOFTWARE. In the white search box under FindSoftware type: "Virtual Keyboard" (without the quotes) and click themirror to search. When the search results come back look for FREE VIRTUALKEYBOARD. Download and Install it. It's totally FREE. Alsouncheck anything that pops up other than the license agreement during thedownload and installation. You only want the Free Keyboard and not theother junk.

You can use it to solve your keyboard problem. Just open up whatever it is youwant to type on such as the web address in an browser, a word document, etc.,then open the Free Virtual Keyboard and it will sit on top of whatever you weredoing. You can move it around so that it is not in your way also. Use your mouse pointer to point and click on the key you want to type on the virtual keyboard.

Letters wont come out when i type on my laptop using the on-screen keyboard ryt now.please help.

Head to the computer manager (right-click My Computer->Manage) and look for the keyboard driver. Make sure it is up to date and installed. If it is not, look up and try to download the keyboard driver for your model.

Did it work before? It's possible that it just broke. Also, look for junk in the keyboard that can mess it up.

Periodically my enter key stops working and I have to restart to get it working again.

There could be several reasons for this issue.

Reason : 1 Could be a spyware messing up with the keyboard. Use an anti-spyware to detect and cleanup.

Reason : 2 This could also happen due to X-Win 32 7.1 Version.

Upgrade following the below steps.

Upgrade to X-Win32 V8

Modify your keyboard map in X-Win32 7.1 or earlier:

Open X-Config’s Input tab

Click Edit… to edit the keyboard layout

Click on the Enter key (which may be labeled as Ent)

Click in the box labeled Unshifted which should have a value of KP_Enter

Select Keyboard -> Keyboard 8 -> Return from the popup menu

Save the keyboard map and restart X-Win32

My logitech mouse wont work but i think it might be the reciever thats messed up

hi bruce,

for security and comfort reasons, get another keyboard and mouse
( just in case you mix up sth. or windows fails recognizing your cordless devices)

- do check if the batteries of the mouse have gone flat,

- powering up the usb port 2.0 voltage in BIOS (only if there is such option available!) might add to the range of the transmitter

- now resyncronize keyboard, mouse and transmitter device

good luck.

I cannot use my g and h or backspace button's

The 1st reason may be:
-You may need to update the driver software of the keyboard. Try entering the following URL:

Then select your product, then look for a keyboard driver. Download it and install it.

And the 2nd one reason, may be:
-The keyboard keys may be broken, and doesn't work.

If the first step doesn't work, try buying an external mini keyboard, that can be found in any PC Service shop, and it also have a low-cost.
