Question about Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Edition
I just got a new canon pixima mp610 printer and cant get the driver to install on my vista laptop. I first installed it successfully on my windows XP desk top then when I try to install it on the vista laptop it almost completes the instillation process but then indicates it cant detect the printer and the proccess fails. I am using the same usb cable that worked with the XP, the XP is not conected, the vista does detect the printer for a few seconds then it looses it
Hey I have the same problem. Have tried to install it on two computers with Vista (one x64 and one just 32bit) and SAME problem on both. Drivers on canon website no different, doesnt change a thing. Did you get it fixed Beau54?

Go to the site listed below and download the drivers for vista, on that page you will have to use the pulldown menu and choose your operating system and it will show you a program that is updated for vista. Use that program to install the printer on your laptop.
Hope this helps
