Try sliding the power button down and then pushing it in as well. My daughter's would work if we left it on after disconnecting from the computer but would not turn back on if we turned it off.
Finally, I tried sliding the switch down and pushing it in and it worked. I am worried how long this will work however and it does not inspire confidence in quality.
our firmware went bad. Just got to the RCA website. http://www.rcaaudiovideo.com/ search your make and model download the firmware. Then hook you mp3 player to usb device of your computer. After mp3 is hooked to computer Install the newly downloaded firmware.
