Dvd/cddrive not working

Have samsung cd-rom SC-152G drive in but on manager says "cannot start as its configuration information(in the registry) is incomplete or damaged(code 19)

Run a registry cleaner first then reinstall your drive... if its's a plug and play just uninstall it from the device manage then registry clean then reboot... hope it helps....

I am getting a code 39 when i try to load the drivers


Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll down cd-dvd rom drives you might see a yellow question /exclamation mark ? ! or a red X right click to update driver

you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd restart your computer then plug them back this should activate the found new hardware wizard

if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem if you cant see your disk drive in windows explorer


Close all open programs

Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter
Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

SYSTEM

CurrentControlSet

Control

Class

{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

Upper Filters

Lower Filters

Upper Filters.bak

Lower Filters.bak

If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete

After deleting the keys, close the registry editor
Reboot your computer

Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

I have an Acer Aspire 5332 and the CD-Rom/DVD Drive (Optiarc DVD RW AD-7580S ATA Device) is not working properly...every time I put a disk of any kind (i.e CD/DVD/Game) it doesnt recognize it and load

My CD ROM cant play music and games


click start control panel,administrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll to cd/dvd rom drives right click properties then properties again then tick enable cd digital cd audio for this cd rom device or scroll to dvd regions select the no _ for your specific area

Go to the link below and see if it will take care of your problem...it is directed by Microsoft.

If the above does not work, the registry needs to be checked. Follow the guide below.

Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click System
Click Hardware
Click Device Manager
Expand the CD/DVD branch of the tree.
Right-mouse click on the CD-ROM, and choose "uninstall" or "remove".
Restart your computer, and Windows should "find new hardware", and should load the correct device-drivers for your CD-ROM.
