Re: cassette

If your eject button is busted, simply set the recording timer, ffwd to the end of the tape and press "timer" (or "function") - then it will eject - easy !

Re: cassette

Most VCR's will auto-rewind the tape when it gets to the end of a tape. Most will leave the tape in the unit assuming you may wish to view it again once rewound. Does the tape eject properly when you press the eject button? What does the manula say about the eject function?

How do you fix a VCR that will not receive a VCR tape?

If a particular cassette is rejected, the tape could be defective. You will have to open up the cassette to determine whether this is the case. If all cassettes are being popped out, the fault may be the internal mechanism and you will have to disassemble the VCR to find what's wrong and fix it.

Tape isn't retracted into cassette upon eject on Sony EV-C100

l would sacrifice a old or bad tape here, remove all the tape inside a cassette and tape off the small sensor holes on each side.

That way no tape to damage and you can insert it to see what is happening.

What likely is the issue is when stop it, it or if the tape does not fully load against the drum with heads, when the arms retract that pull the tape out of the cassette the mechanism is not switching to rewind it back into the cassette.

Usually this means a belt is slipping or the idler unit is not working---belts can break or stretch or even come off---belts will get slopply or bad from NO use and it is common.

Tape wont eject small spring found

Take off top of vcr to expose the tape carriage lift tape door, on the lhs/rhs you shouls see the other small spring fit the spring that you have to the opposite side and try to eject your video cassette, the spring is the part that is stopping from ejecting the tape hiopefully once you have reattached the spring all should be well.

Tape will not play or eject

remove the top of your vcr and watch the video as you insert it. There should be a plastic lever that opens up the tape and a metal roller that extend out and pulls the tape to the film wheel. pay close attention to the innerworkings around the edge of the cassette and eject the cassette. no closely review the areas that you noted around the edge of the tape while it was in the bay. you will notice either a spring or a clip thas has been awkardly shifted or even bent or broken. if this doesnt guide you to a solution pls reply with the make and model # of your machine

pls rank this post

Tape keeps ejecting - panasonic nvfj620

Is it only the Head cleaning cassette which keeps getting ejected, or is it happening with every tape you insert? Was the Head Cleaning Tape a little tight in the Cassette compartment? Did you have to put some pressure to push it in or did it come out with difficulty? From your symptoms, it looks like there is a gear timing problem with the cassette loading compartment gears. It could also be due to some obstruction inside. try shaking the VCR, and if you are hearing some noise, Open cover and check for foreign objects.

Cassette stuck in VCR

You are almost on the right track. did you look where your finger was? what happened was you did not allow the blocking a photo sensor which mimicked the clear part of the tape and this caused the eject to take place. What was happening in your case was the arm would come fully out and the sensor would sense no tape so the VCR shut off in a trouble condition to prevent damage from ocurrin.
