Re: upgrade of ram

Your board Support 168-pin SDRAM DIMM and 184-pin DDR DIMM (Can't Use DIMM & DDR SDRAM memory Together).
I would run the 184-pin DDR. Supports PC1600/PC2100 DDR DRAM up to 2BG Max. Since you have four memory slots 2x512mb of DDR PC2100 = 1GB would be plenty. You will notice programs load faster & games run smoother. Personally, 2Gb. may help but you will not see the difference. To see a difference it is not all about memory. Mb bus speed, CPU, chipset & speed of video memory all play a part with regards to Pc overall speed. You can download your manual here.:
You can download the specs of your board here.:
And below is a link for some good ram.:
This should all help you decide, best wishes!

Jetway v266b rev 3.0-what ram memory to use??

You might wanna try DDR RAM, the highest size you will be able to get is is 1GB per module, so buy a few if a DDR module fits, and you may also want to look at the capacitors, make sure they're not bulging, I've seen a lot of these boards in computers, and when I've had to repair them, 99% of the time it was bad caps, so if they are bulging, I reccommend nichicon K series caps (NOT KZG, they're known defective)

2G RAM's for Elitegroup (ECS) L7VMM2 Rev 1.0A Motherboard

You're board can handel; DDR SDRAM up to 200 or 266MHz DDR SDRAM memory module. Accommodates two "unbuffered", 2.5V 184-pin slots. Each slot supports up to 1 GB with a total maximum capacity of 2 GB. Return the Kingston memory you have installed if it is less than a year old. They should allow you to trade up to the MB's supported memory.
Two reach the MB's max memmory of 2GB. Buy two Kingston DIMMS of, "unbuffered", 2.5V 184-pin
DIMMs. Here is one site that sells Kingston memory;
The next link is Kingstons site;

Here is another site;
If you decide to search for you're self, use this as the basis for the correct model: Module - KVR266X64C2

Link to ECS web site;

Good luck!

Will this motherboard use 1gb ram memory 184 pin

Since it uses ddr 2 RAM you should use pairs. Your max supported on this board is 2 GB so if you want to max out you could install 2 x 1 GB. Hope this helps.

Want to up grade to 2g ddr mem

is this your board?

well, if this is your board, you can upgrade your ram to 2gb howerver since it is a dual ram...(SDRAM and DDR) you cant use all the slots at 1 time since they are of different frequencies.

you can use DDr266 (pc2100) as your RAM since this board is a socket A as it is said here in the boards specs.

hope this helps

DDR & SDRAM supported?

I suggest you stay within your manual specs.
Your boards memory should not use voltage higher than CL2.5
Below is a link for 1Gb dimm DDR266 PC2100. CL2.5
You can also buy two which would take you to the motherboards MAX memory of 2Gb.
