On - OK
1 Blink - Ignition failure. Check Gas flow, gas pressure, gas valve, flame sensor.
2 Blinks - Closed pressure switch. Check pressure switch (stuck in closed position).
3 Blinks - Pressure switch - failre to close. Check venter, pressure switch, vent blockage.
4 Blinks - Open limit switch. Main limit or aux limit are open. (My comment - Means overheating in chamber. Often result of blocked intake air. Bad filter. In my case, plastic wrap had been sucked into the intake. )
6 Blinks - False flame sensed. Check sticking gas valve.
Rapid continuous blinking - Incorrect twinning, incorrect primary polarity. Reverse transformer secondary leads, reverse primary wires.

Closed pressure switch can be from dirty combustion vents, bad chamber pressure - like missing screws, maladjusted gas pressure, failing pressure switch, loose hoses, moisture in the hoses or fan blades The switch need to be closed to ge the unit to work

one other thing to make sure of is the outside vent is not clogged go out and when the unit starts up see if you are getting a strong exsh. air if so we need to look futher inside the units pressure switch let me know what you came up with also by shutting the pwr off to the unit it will clear the fault but if it trys to loight and fails 3 times it will go back into the fault mode

I am getting one light flash indicator limited circuit issues. The furnace fires and heats up but blower does not come on

Remove the blower motor, With the furnace circure breaker off!!!!!!!!!!
Put a universal 115 v plug on the two wires and hold it on the floor and plug ER in. It's a 115 motor, look at specs to make sure. If she don't , check wholesale house to get a motor. If not that, motor capacitor, then contact switch if capacitor don't do it. Be very safe!!!!!!! . The capacitor will need to be discharged and if checking it, do NOT
Touch both post. Discharge it before disconnecting it by turning all power to furnace off, taking a screw driver and putting it across both terminals. It will arc. Do that a couple three times to get rid of stored electricity. If it does arc with a little snap and spark, it's good.
BE SAFE. Hope that helps.

I have a Goodman GMP 125-5 furnace. It had a 3 light code i replaced the presure switch now it is giving me a 1 light code please help

A sampling of various failure codes on a furnace:

Read one LED flash that stays on continuously to mean your furnace has no signal coming from the thermostat and will not operate. Turn the power off and check the thermostat for improper settings or connections.

Interpret one LED flash that blinks on and off to mean your furnace has locked out because it could not ignite after three tries, and must be reset. Interrupt power to your furnace for 20 seconds or lower the thermostat so your furnace does not try to heat, then reset the thermostat to the previous setting. After one hour of lockout, your furnace will automatically reset itself and try to operate as usual.

Decipher two LED flashes to mean the draft blower is not working, or your furnace has a short in the pressure switch circuit. Turn off the furnace power and repair a short or replace the pressure switch.

Read three LED flashes to mean your furnace has an open pressure switch circuit or it has an induced draft blower operating. Check the pressure switch hose of your furnace for blocks or an improper connection. Also, look for blockages in the flue, and tighten any loose wiring.

Translate four LED flashes to mean your furnace has a primary limit circuit open, possibly from loose wiring or blocked filters. Check and clean filters, tighten wiring and check the flue for blockages.

Interpret five LED flashes to mean your furnace senses a flame without a call for heat. This could be from a gas valve closing slowly or a burner flame lingering.

Read seven LED flashes as a warning of a low flame sense microamp signal. This could happen with a coated flame sensor or a lazy flame from poor gas pressure. Turn off the power and adjust the gas pressure according to the information on the rating plate.

See eight LED flashes as meaning an igniter circuit problem due to a bad igniter or an igniter connected improperly. Replace the bad igniter or check the ground wiring, making necessary corrections.

Decipher nine LED flashes to mean the high-stage pressure switch circuit will not close during a high-stage-induced draft blower operation. Your furnace may have a pinched or blocked pressure switch hose, a blocked flue or loose wiring.

Read continuous flashing on the LED to mean your furnace has a reversed polarity of 115 volts. Turn off the power and correct the wiring polarity after reviewing the wiring diagram.

Need your model # to check the codes but, this coming back on after turning the t-stat off is rare. You may have been in a lockout and the furnace re-started. Some furnaces try to start three times , then lock out. Time out, then re-start. The codes should be on your furnace blower door. Write back with this info and i could help.

Rheem classic 90 plus furnace. Two green lights on the panel, will not do anything. Thermostat clicks, indicating it should be turning heat on. Furnace only buzzes. No blower, not flame. thoughts?

Your inducer motor is bad .that is the small motor that is connected to the pvc and with a hose attached to it.
That is the first thing to come on when unit calls for heat.

At your thermostat turn the fan from auto to on, if the blower motor still does not come on, down at the furnace remove the blower door, turn power off first. Locate the blower motor leads, switch the cool lead which is usually black with the blue wire which is usually medium high.
Make sure while you are at it to see if the blower motor will turn by hand. Put door back on turn on power, leave the fan switch to `on` still. Blower should turn on. If not then either the blower motor is either burned out or you have a line/lolw voltage wiring problem.
You did not state if the outdoor ubit was operating, that will make it easier to troubleshoot.

Tappan furnace blower will not shut off and furnace does not heat and red light is blinking one flash constantly.

Usually when the furnace blower motor runs all the time
The limit switch or rollout switch is usually open or bad.
The furnace board is seeing that one of those switches is open, so it brings the blower on to try to get the heat out of the combustion chamber area, so the switch will close. But if the switch is bad and won’t close, the furnace board will keep the blower running continuously.

Furnace not working. ok light flashing

The flashing light indicates that there is a problem. Turn off the power and then back on. Count the flashes and it will indicate the code to the problem. There will be a time pause between the flash codes. The most common problem is the failure of the hot surface igniter .

Furnace not working

The buzzing may be a bad fan motor you need to see if the blower motor is turning. If not this is your problem. The other thing that may be buzzing could be a contactor. This would be used to engage the motor. To check this take a reading on the coil side of the contactor it should be 24 volts. If 24 volts are present to the coil side of the contactor and the contactor is not pulling in there is your problem.
