Hi again, take a look at the info on this link:

It certainly could be a hardware problem. I don't use Roxio so I'm sorry I'm not going to be too much help with the software. You mention that it worked 2 or 3 times. Are you doing the exact same thing as when it worked, or is anything different?

  • ohiotom May 11, 2010

I would start at the slowest speed and see if it works. If it does then you can attempt higher speeds. If it will not function on the lowest speed then that is not the problem.

  • ohiotom May 11, 2010

The exact error would be helpful. Are you able to burn CD's? Can you burn data files onto a DVD? What type of DVD are you burning (DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW)?

The people who will try to help you here don't get paid, they just do it for fun. The more information you can provide the better the chances you'll get some help.

Can NO LONGER BURN Video Files To My DVD's

Sounds like a DVD drive issue to me since the same thing happens in more than one program. Luckily desktop DVD-burners are quite inexpensive, since you should replace the drive completely with a brand new one. It's the fact that it THINKS it burned correctly that is the nail in the coffin.

My acard technology pro burns dvds but the target dvds end up all scratchy like quality the pixels move and everything

is resolutions pixel problem only on the dvd disks you burn?
you might have to save the dvd to a file first then burn it to a dvd
are you copyning from another dvd or from a saved file ??
you might be burning it as data
this might be a problem with the quality of the dvd disks you are using or might be the software you are using there are lots of free burning sofrware programs on the internet
this might be because you have not selected the option to burn an audio or data dvd or your burning software does not support dvd burning
there are plenty of free burning software programs on the internet

I dont know how to download a movie so I can burn it Movie Torrent is a basic peer-to-peer file-sharing client that lets users download a variety of different media types. Although the program works just fine, expect to seek additional instruction if you're not already familiar with torrents.
peer to peer file sharing is a free program which allows you to download someone elses movies that are online the link might drop out but will automatically search for anotherlink once its dropped out even if you shut your computer down after the link has been dropped when you start your computer again and open up the program will search for and connect to the link
once you have selected a movie the movie starts downloading windows will ask whether you want to run or save it a browse option will open you can save it into a folder in my documents then depending on your burning software you might have to burn it as an ISO image if you dont have the software to burn an iso image there are lots of free burning software programs on the internet Burn4Free CD and DVD is a burning solution that's compatible with more than 3,000 DVD, Blu-ray and CD burners. Burn data and audio from different file types (WAV, WMA, MP3, OGG, FLAC, WavPack, and CDA). Burn and save ISO files, open and save your project to disk, verify content, print compilations, copy DVD, copy BLU RAY and import your audio compilation from M3U and ASX playlists. The drives supported include dual-layer DVD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, and DVD-RAM, BD-R, BD-RE (SCSI, IDE, EIDE, and USB 1.0 and 2.0).

I can not record a ISO image in my GH22N550

Try using this software, Image Burn. It works for me every time. I gave up on all others. This program will burn ISO's to ISO's, it will burn ISO's to Boot Disks, it will make files into ISO's, it does it all.

Also, just to clear up the term, when you burn a ISO you are generally trying to make a bootable disk, you are not actually burning the ISO, but expanding and burning the files onto a CD or DVD that you will use to install something on another computer.

Will not copy to dvd

It always fails for a reason.Ex : your selections were wrong or you have a lot of little files for which you need space for an image ; see if your dvdb rw recognize your blank dvd(incompatibility case or your dvd might be scratched ) and be sure that your unoccupied space on dvd is higher than what you wanna write on it.

DVD burns ''successfully''...but actually burns nothing!

What comes to mind is that you are burning to an image file and not your actual burner. Make a small data DVD and name it something obvious such as aaaa. After completion of the disk, do a search for the file and see if it is in actuality on the computer. If it is stored as an image file, you need to select the recorder type to your actual burner.

Cannot burn AVCHD disk. Get this error

The problem with creator 2009 has been fixed by the roxio people.
Instead of burning directly to the DVD disk as roxio software states,
one needs to first save this to be AVCHD movie as a file and then burn directly from the file. This works OK, but as stated this is different
from what the software claims. I'm happy. Thanks

Pinnacle 10 dvd burning

have you tried rendering as an AVI file ... then burning???
also, check the drop down tab to make sure in the "make a disc" section that
there are not 2 listings for the dvd choice ... if there are... then select the second
dvd.. and tell it to burn...
or make the AVI and use Nero 8 or 9 to make the DVD.
my version 10.8 is whacked...
upgraded to 12... it's working fine... finally.

Not sure what it means, but I found a way around it.

I get the same error when I try to burn a WMV (Windows Media Video) file to a DVD.

As a work-around, I converted the file to a MPG (MPEG-2) file. That took the size from 41 Mb to 357 Mb.

I was then able to burn the MPG file to a DVD successfully.

If you still have trouble, I would suggest creating an ISO image of the MPG file. That takes the size from 357 Mb to 508 Mb. You should then be able to create a DVD directly from the image file.

Good luck!
