I am having the same problem with a twist, sound works from the fm and headphone but only from the right side no left audio. I have the 760 and it only has one speaker and my guess it that it gets its feed from the left (which does not work anywhere; headphone or fm transmitter.

If you use the headphone jack a lot and your missing the audio from the speaker and one channel from the headphone jack, then it's possible that some of the headphone jack connections have broken off of the PC board. The audio goes to the speaker through the headphone jack.

Please see this link for more info and read the section about the headphone jack.

Only 1 side of my dr dre detox is working

THE INTERNAL WIRE CONNECTING BOTH HEADPHONES IS BROKEN. THIS PROBABLY HAPPENED WHEN TWISTING ONE OF THE HEADPHONES TO HEAR ONLY THROUGH ONE OF THEM. TRY FEEDING EEACH HEADPHONE INDEPENDENTLY WITH ITS OWN CABLE USING ONE OF THOSE PLUGS TO SHARE MUSIC FROM SAME SOURCE.

Ive a problem with the volume of the headphones, the right one works fine but there is no sound from the left side....ive tested the headphones on other electronic equipment and the headphones work the...

Hi,,in most cases what causes one side of the headphone to work is because, the wire that is connected to speaker inside the headphone might have cut and it's not contacting properly.

What you will need to do is to open up the head phone (left),and check if the wire inside has not cut, If it has removed ,then you will need to put it back with soldering iron and a lead...

But if the wire inside has not removed and they are intact, then you will have to replace the left speaker .

Hope that helps...

My earphones' audio isn't right. I have to twist the wires to get it fixed. Sometimes, it only has sounds on the left or on the right or nothing. What should I do?

You have fault in the wires that has been twisted and open/ shorted within losing the connectivity. The best thing is to get this replaced if you can do the work by yourself, you will have to buy the shielded twin core wires, one headphone stereo jack, open the earpiees carefully- it is tricky,so do it gently, solder the wires in accordance with the lead and shield on either sides and then connect to the stereo headphones. Hope this wil work out for you. Good day

Headphones only have left channel on Denon AVR-588 Receiver

Hi peroty,

Two suggestions for you.

1. If you look at the headphone jack connecton do you see one or two black O-rings or black lines on the jack. If you only see one they are Mono headphones and you would only get sound out of the left side. If there are two black lines they are stereo headphones and you should get sound on both the left & right sides.

2. If after checking the headphone jack connection and there are two black lines on it then I would suggest try a different pair of headphones to see if a different set of headphones works fine.

If a different pair of headphones works properly the original headphones may be bad. If neither set of headphones work properly it may be the reciever that may need to be repaired.

I hope it's not the receiver, but let me know if you have questions.
