Re: problem in getting sound

Check does you sound driver is install OK!!! If not
(right-click My Computer -> Manage -> Device Manager) for unknown/improperly installed devices.
Visit you SOUND manufacturer’s website, and download drivers along with the installation instructions!!! After that it will work just fine!!!!

I am getting the error Error ID = 0xC00D11BA, Condition ID = 0x00000000 and do not know what sound device to downloadd

Pop out the card and look for a tag with a name on it. If no tag with identifier, look at the plastic header to see if there is a name. If nothing there, look at the large chips on the board and look for the name. Then go to their website and see if they have other identifiers to look for. and download the drivers. If you are running Windows 7, and they only have drivers through XP or Vista- determine if you are running 32 bit or 64 bit. and download that driver.

If it is onboard the motherboard, look for a name and a model of the motherboard. It would be normally available through the support downloads of the motherboard manufacturer. If it was a custom build for another manufacturer such as Dell, go to and enter your model number or service tag to get to the page for downloading the drivers correct for that system. download and archive the driver executable after you have tun it, so saving to the desktop is a good idea.

If the sound card has only a Compac part number for example, you need to go to the Compaq website and enter the part number in the seatch criteria, you may have to wade through a few screens if you have to wade through vintage legacy drivers, but you simply downloard the executable (to archive if it occurs again) and install.

If nothing is found there, try you do need to know what the past number or model number are. In some cases with Soundblaster, 2 drivers cover most of their vintage sound cards at 16 bit and 32 bit.

Error ID = 0xC00D11BA, Condition ID = 0x00000000

Reinstall the driver for this card. Somehow it got corrupted. Go to devices delete this device and restart computer. Make sure that you are set to get driver updates online always. The computer during the reboot will find the driver. If it requires the disc and you have one place it in the ROM let it fly.
If not working after this go to the manufacturer web site and see if there is an upgrade download the upgrade and go from there. Because of the various things one does to their machines if upgrading or just everyday usage things fail. Know one is fail safe.
So it is not a bad issue or anything you did, it is a machine it does what it does when it does it. I just reload drivers that is what I do and problems are solved unless the device that is giving the error message has gone bad. Then replace the card with a compatible one or the original one they are not that expensive. Hope this assists you. John

My sound was not working with the hcl motherboard it is not functionig so i want the hcl motherboar sound driver. when i run wmp the the error Error ID = 0xC00D11BA, Condition ID = 0x00000000 is comming...

if you still have your motherboard cd, run it it will eradicate the problem.

or alternatively, find a Foxcom motherboard cd, it is suitable with most motherboards and it might install all the drivers necessary including the one for sound.

thank you

you may need to access the computer's manufacturer website to download the sound drivers. another way you could try is to click Start > Run > type devmgmt.msc and hit <Enter> to open device manager

go to the Sound section and expand it --- then highlight the device and right click and then select Update Driver.
