when i open a excel file by double click , microsoft excel is only opening blank (without any sheet or flie ) for which i have to open again that file by open command
here is the solution ifi Excel opens without opening any file after double clicking on the excel file,
1. Tools>Options>General uncheck "Ignore other Applications"
2. Exit Excel and try again
If this doesn't work try to re-register Excel
1. Close Excel first and On the Windows Taskbar
2. Start>Run "excel.exe /unregserver"(no quotes)>OK.
3. Start>Run "excel.exe /regserver"(no quotes)>OK.
See the space between exe and /regserver

Some days ago I noticed an interesting software, which to my great surprise worked out my old problem with excel file and should aid in this proposition as well - excel recovery.
