There could be a problem with the driver for the adapter or the hardware itself. The first thing I would try is go into the control panel and then into the device manager. Then look for the wireless adapter and remove it. Then re-boot the computer and windows should detect the adapter and re-install the drivers. If that does not work you could also try and locate the updated drivers from the manufacturers website and install those. Also remeber that it may be a simple as you have turned the adapter off. Netbooks usually have either a switch or FN key and another key combination to turn the adapter on and off. So look on the netbook for a wireless switch or one of the function keys might have a antenna symbol above it. If you find one then try holding the FN key and press the function key....that will trun the wireless back on.

How can I connect my laptop to the wireless router?

Hi,

First of all look for the wireless switch of your netbook and make sure it is slid to the right (it has an icon of a computer with signals on both sides). Then press and hold the "Fn" key. While holding it down, press "F5". Make sure that the wireless is enabled. Then go to control panel. Click on Network and sharing center. Click on "Connect or Disconnect". It should display available networks that your computer detects. Click on your network and type the security key if prompted so.

I cannot get my new dell mini inspiron to connect to the linksys wireless router in the home network. it cannot even detect the network. How do I fix this?

Have you been able to connect your netbook to other wireless networks? Do you have anything else connected to your home wireless network? Can you see your home wireless network using a different computer?

If you can't see other wireless networks check to make sure your wireless card didn't get shut off. Usually there's an on/off switch on a laptop to do this, or a combination of function keys.

If you can see other wireless networks and just not your own, try the wireless network's settings on the router. If you do have some type of security, I'd start off troubleshooting with no security, then move up to WEP, then WPA, then WPA2 in that order, or at least as high as you can get with the options available on your router. It might be that your wireless network is too secure for what your Mini 10 can handle.

I don't know how to switch wireless on, on my netbook. There is no visible switch, and when I try to view wireless networks it doesn't see any of the available networks.

As i know, on acer netbook you have to switch on your wireless by pressing Fn key with one of the f keys, look from an antena icon on this key or go to control panel open network connections and right click on wireless connection and click enable.

I can t to conect my lenovo s103 wi fi

Hi elyflorin200,
I see that you have the s10-3 Netbook and that you wants to connect using Wifi.
  • On your Netbook make sure that the wireless switch on the side is switched on first.
  • On the lower right hand side you should see a wireless icon that looks like a signal bar indicating that your wireless is on and that it detects Networks in the area.
  • Point your mouse cursor on the signal bar on the lower right it should say Networks are detected or connect to a network.
  • If you do not see the signal bars then the wireless may still be OFF on your Netbook.
  • Try and Press FN+F5 the same time you should see a windows that will pop up saying Networks or it should say Wireless device or the name of your of your wireless card, check if the wireless is enable or turned on under current status.
  • If your S10-3 detects Networks click on you Routers name to be able to connect wireless it will prompt you for a security if in case your Router has a Network key or Security key you will need to type that in in order to get internet from he Router if ever you enter the incorrect Network/Security key i will give you an error.
  • If ever you get connected it will prompt you if you want to save the Network and if you want to connect Automatically put a check on Connect automatically so that every time you turn you S10-3 ON it will detect the wireless signal in your home.
For further information regarding you s10-3 you can to this link below http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/UserGuide/Guide_list.aspx?CategoryID=686287
I hope that this will be helpful regarding you question.
Have a nice day.

Netbook detects wireless networks but has will not connect

It is only connected to the router and the router probably did not assign an IP Address to the netbook... so first try this
try resetting the router (unplug for a few minutes) next --be sure the wifi switch is enabled on the netbook---next---go to CONTROL PANEL>NETWORK CONNECTIONS--right click oin your wifi card and choose properties--highlight INTERNET PROTOCOL and choose properties and be sure "OPTAIN IP ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY" is checked--Does the laptop "SEE" the router?
You will need your SSID to logon to the router(internet)

follow this is a link to a troubleshooting flow-chart

I have installed wbr-1310 to main puter but cannot install on lap

Make sure the wireless capabilities are turned on on your router.
On your computer scan for available networks and it should detect the router.
Once detected it will ask you for the Passkey/WEP/Secutity Key.
You should have a note of this when you originally set up your wireless connection.
If not then your computer network set up wizard may 'kick in' and just follow the instruction.
Remember to keep a note of your PASSKey/WEP as you will require it in future

Good luck

Wi-fi connection

1. First, you have to make sure that the Wi-Fi of your laptop is turned on.

2. Make sure that there's an available wireless network in your area so that you can test if the computer can detect any available network.

3. If you're running Win XP, right-click the wireless icon on your system tray and select "View available wireless networks"

4. If you can't detect any wireless network, right-click the wireless icon on your system tray and select Open Network Connections.

5. Right-click the Wireless Network Connection icon and make sure to enable it.

6. If it's already enabled, try to disable it and then re-enable it.

7. If you can't still detect any wireless network, try this:
- Click the Start > Run > type msconfig > hit Enter

8. Locate the Wireless Zero Configuration and click on it once.

9. Once it's highlighted, locate the Start button on the upper left hand corner of that screen.

10. After starting the Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC), try to detect the wireless network again.

Hi i need a help! i am looking to find '' '''''' drivers for targa traveller 1512 for xp edition thank you very much!

This link should get you to the downloads page, but if not, use the below instructions.

http://www.service.targa.co.uk/ is where you'll need to go, further navigation does not change the address bar, so you'll have to follow step-by-step.

  1. Select "Targa Mobile PCs" under the ModelFinder on the right.
  2. The Targa Traveller 1512 should be the 4th down.
  3. Once on the FAQs page, you should see 3 tabs above the picture of the laptop, Select "Downloads"
  4. The XP package is the first download in the list.
