Without knowing the model (or having either a diagram or a unit) you pose a question I can't answer....but...you might try an email to logitech support (assuming this is an expensive mouse) or B) If not expensive buy a replacement...you can find them on the internet for as little as $5.00 including shipping (or your local computer repair shop or Goodwill store might have a used mouse).
