Canoscan D646U ex for vista
I lost my driver for canoscan D646U ex.... where can i download the driver which is also compatible with windows Vista? Please help.

- Thank you for trying but still cant download. OS is Vista and it is not included in the choices. Canoscan D646Uex is also not in the list only Canoscan D646U.Jan 23, 2008

Using the Windows XP driver MAY work. However, the D646Uex is not officially supported in Windows Vista. There is apparently some functionality limitations that prevent it from being officially compatible.

use your XP driver first to install the scanner, windows will install the driver. then appear message saying it won't start or something like that. ignore it, then open the device manager. you'll see the canoscan is marked...click it, then update the driver automatically using internet...
the driver will be updated then your scanner will work just fine. i just installed it in my vista SP1...works perfectly as it should

Hi,
You can download here from Canon. Just pick your operating system.
There are drivers here from Canon Australia...but no Vista. Did you get your Vista driver together with your scanner?

Hie - I've searched the net and am unable to find a D646U ex driver for vista. Feel like throwing out the vista OS and using the previous one as nearly my gadgets are uncompatabile, etc.
