I have a Soyo Monitor, Model MT-NI-DYLM1998.
It had been working OK, but I put my computer in storage for 2 weeks and then tried to reconnect.
The Soyo monitor stays blank (black) except when it is turned on, the monitor shows a picture for 2 seconds and then goes blank again.
I run windows XP with the latest update. It appears to be hooked up correctly. It does not come on when I move the wire in, only when the monitor is turned on, and then only for a few seconds.
Any ideas?

I have encountered this same issue with a monitor like yours its very common especially for lcd monitors there is a bad diode on your monitor board and you will not be able to fix this yourself you can buy another or use just a regular crt monitor or your best bet is to have it repaired im sorry and i hope this helps
