Refrigerator Tip!

Don't set your refrigerator's temperature too low. The colder it gets the more it costs to run. Set the refrigerator's temperature to between 38 and 42 degrees Fahrenheit (3 to 6 degrees Celcius) and your freezer to between 0 and 5 degrees Fahrenheit (-17 to -15 degrees Celcius).

How hot should my onboard CPU temp. Run at and when is it to hot

40-49 degrees celcius (104-120F) is normal temperature for most systems. It is not uncommon to see higher temps when doing process intensive programs such as video games or encoding.

What should the temperature be on the non frozen side

Hi

We use Celcius here in Australia but I looked up the conversions.

Optimum temperature for your fridge is 3 or 4 Degrees Celcius. (37.4F to 39.2F)
Optimum temperature for your freezer is -14 to -16 Degrees Celcius. (3.2F to 6.8F)

70 degrees is a tad high, I'd suggest buying an aftermarket heatsink or re-seating your current one.

Albatron PX865PE Pro II CPU temperature readings

Hi Eddy,

These temp reasdings are toooo high.

I have been working with Electronics for over 30 years and the best operating temperature is less than 30degs Cent.

There is water cooled computer chips now in computers and your might have one of these or yours could be a fan driven type.

Some fan driven types ramp up in blade speed as the temp rises I would suggest that you have your PC looked at pronto...

Good luck... its best that you have found this fault before a burn out happens.

Cheers from YUBEUT

Motherboard & CPU temperatures

CPU usage generally depends upon what application(s) you are running. There are some apps that barely utilize the cpu, and there are others that are resource hogs that peg the CPU near 100%.

CPU temperature will also vary, depending on the load, and numerous other factors. For example, the ambient temp will affect the CPU temp - when it's cool in the room, the CPU temp will not be as high as if the room temp is warm/hot. Other factors include the type of HSF, the number of fans in the system, and the case itself, as some are better at dissipating heat than others.

So, to give you a better idea of what temp is normal for your setup we'd need much more info about the system. But for reference, 40 celcius is a pretty good CPU temp, particularly if that is under load.

Problem after installing catalyst 7.10 drivers

The CPU should be kept under 55C.

The heating you mention is completely normal. An active processor generates more heat. Thus with the CPU usage issue you mentioned, the processor works harder and produces more heat. The heat levels you report are still very normal.

You don't state your video card, but if you are having problems with the 7.10 drivers, try older or newer ones. Also make sure you have the correct/latest motherboard drivers installed.

Finally (unrelated to posted problem), keep an eye on that PSU. If you have a power hungry video card, it maybe too much for it to handle.

Can Movincool classic plus 26 AC set the air temperature at below 70 degree F?

aircons normally pull down to approx. 17 degree celcius.and heats to approx 30 degree celcius.  most of the time you need to simply clean the condenser properly and to make sure fans are in good order.
