My digital camera FinePix A900, keeps turning off when I turn it on. Unable to pull any menus. Batteries are good. any suggestions, is it fixable or do I have to buy a new one?

Try pressing the playback button to turn the camera on. This should turn the camera on just so that you can view any pictures stored on the card or internal memory. You can also access the menu functions this way. Also try pressing the picture/shutter button and see if the lens extends. If the camera shuts off when you press the picture button and the lens does not move or only moves a fraction then the problem is probably to do with the lens

The A900 is not a battery charger. It uses two standard AA batteries, either disposables or rechargeables. If you choose to use rechargeables, they must be charged outside the camera, using a separate charger.

My Fujifilm A900 wont turn on. I press the power button and the lens comes out ever so slightly then goes back in. It also wont go into disk mode or view mode.

I also have this problem - it started when I put some Lithium batteries in (AAs). Whilst I was looking in the A900 handbook it said "do not put Lithium batteris in it" :(

I thought those batteries where for these type of battery eating devices.

Summary: put Lithium batteries in never worked again!!

it was only a week old too!!

My Fuji FinePix A900 camera's batteries are low. I have tried to replace them with new batteries, but the camera will not turn on. It will only turn on with the old batteries in it. What's up with this?...

if you are using rechargable batteries make sure they are fully charged, try more powerful batteries.
clean each end of batteries and the contacts inside the camera for better electrical contact.

Fuji finepix a900 Frame number full error

Hi!

In case you haven't sorted this out yet.

To fix this go into Menu ---> Setup. From there there's a Frame Number setting. It is normally set to: Continuous. The other option is: Renew which evidently simply resets the picture count. After selecting Renew the error message disappears and the camera works perfectly again.

HELP PLEASE! My Fuji A900 does not shoot video

possibly the ribbon has come out of it's socket. Or it is damaged.
The selector dial on the back has it's own ribbon to connect it to the main pcb.
I have spare parts off an A800 If that's any help?

Actually, it may be the batterys. Even top brands like Energiser can have unbelievably short battery life if they are not NiMh! Go onto the FujiFilm website and find the batteries they recommend

Same problem with me. Got a zoom error. I thought "it's still under warranty, so Fuji will help me out." WRONG! Fuji repair claims it has impact damage, but that's not true. The product is just defective. Fuji charges $113 to get it repaired. It cost me $140 from Dell only 7 months ago. Defective.

If you have read the user manual on page 16, this camera only compatible with two kinds of batts: alkaline or rechargeable batts.
