Hello,
Yes you can delete songs from your MP3 player -
  1. Plug the MP3 player into a USB port on your PC or laptop. Some MP3 plug right into the port and others require the supplied USB cord.
  2. Open the MP3 player up on your computer so you can see the songs.
  3. Right click on the songs you wish to delete
  4. Left click on "delete"
  5. When it cues you with "are you sure you want to delete xxx" you will left click on yes.

I don't know how to delete songs from my mix stick

The simplest way to delete songs from your mp3 player would be to go to my computer after plugging your mp3 player into the computer and selecting your mp3 in the list and search for the songs you want, right click on it and click delete. Or if you have windows media player on your computer, connect the mp3 player to the computer and open windows media player and near the top right, select sync, and on the bottom left corner in the list pane, the name of your mp3 should be there. Click it and then click songs, and on the songs you don't want on there, right clink on them and click delete. Hope this helps.

How to clear the mp3 player and put new songs on it

Take off the USB cap on the side, and plug that end into the USB of a computer. The "My Computer" window should open and the screen on the mp3 should turn on. At this time, you can copy/paste songs onto the new drive that appears. (probably drive F: or D: ) When you're done, make sure to unmount the drive. On some Windows computers, there will be a new icon on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. Right click that and choose "safely remove hardware". Then click "stop", then "OK". When it says you can remove it, make sure the mp3 doesn't have a loading animation. (not the battery animation)

On Unix computers, right click the drive on the desktop and choose "unmount". Make sure you wait for the loading animation on the mp3 to finish. Then you can remove the mp3 from the USB port.

To remove songs, you do the same thing, but instead of copying and pasting, you just select the songs you don't want on it and choose delete. (If you're on a Unix computer, delete the ".trash" folder as well(it's a hidden file) or else the songs will remain.)

There's also a way to transport files back and forth with Windows Media Player, but I haven't tried it yet.

Plug in your sandisk into the usb driver, click on my computer you should see SANSA M230 (F:) right click on it, you should see format, click on format. And finally click on quick format, then start. That should do the trick. Note it erases all songs. Your welcome! :)
