Printer memory will clear if you simply unplug it from the wall. More likely, the old document was in your computer's disk, and you can control what prints from there.
Have you tried to run a test print at the printer? There is usually a self test feature that will print out a demo page. If that works then check your interface cable and/or print software. If it doesn't work, then you may have an internal printer problem.
Download the user guide on the right hand side. When it opens, go to page 3-7 (page 61 in the reader) for instructions.
To print a self test:
turn the printer off.
Hold the control button while turning the printer back on.
Keep the control button depressed until you see the drum led come on. When the drum led comes on, let go of the control button.
Then press the control button once more, the printer will print a self test page.
