My keypad won't work

I guess you mean the Keypad Lock/Unlock!

You can turn on the keypad lock of a handset.
In idle mode, press * button and then LOCK to turn on the keypad lock. "PRESS UNLOCK TO USE KEYS" is displayed on the LCD.
In keypad lock mode, press UNLOCK to turn off the keypad lock.

I got this information from Sprint directly. I had your EXACT same problem. These are the directions they gave me and you may have to repeat the process several times before it works, but I guarntee it works!! Ok. turn off the phone, take out battery, replace battery, hold the U button on the keypad, then hold power till the phone turns on, then release u, then power, you should see the samsung symbol first and then if it works, it will go to a white screen, (try this as many times as it takes) Now, using the volume button on the side of the phone press down until you get to the wipe data factory reset, press enter on keypad, use volume again to select yes delete all user data by pressing down, hit enter again, let it work, hit enter again, and you're all set!! UNLOCKED COMPLETELY from that dreaded password that has locked you out, now enjoy your new phone!

• 2 Enter the four digit unlock code using the phone's keypad. The default code is the last four digits of your cell phone number.
  
• 3 Press the "OK" button to submit the code and unlock the phone.
  

Forgotten Code

• 1 Turn the phone over and remove the battery cover and battery. Press down on the upper plastic edge of the cover and slide it in a downwards motion. The plastic cover will give way to the battery which can be pulled out of the phone.
  
• 2 Locate the sticker on the phone hidden behind the battery. Write down the last four digits of the ESN DEC number.
  
• 3 Replace the battery and battery cover and turn the phone on by pressing and holding down the "Power" button.
  
• 4 Flip open the phone so the keypad is exposed.
  
• 5 Enter the last four digits of the ESN DEC number. Press the "OK" button to submit the code and unlock the phone.
  

Power the phone on and select the "OK" button. This will trigger the phone to ask for the password.

2 Press "OK." Sometimes this is simply all it requires. If not, move on.

3 Enter the last four digits of the phone's number. If this doesn't work, continue to the next step.

4 Enter "#4357" or "*4357." "4357" stands for "LOCK" on a traditional telephone's alphabetic keypad translation. This is the default unlock code for certain LG telephones.

Power On/Off and Key Lock/Unlock - Press the Power button located at the top right
of the Sky Caddie to power on/off or to lock/unlock the keypad. Upon pressing
the Power button you are prompted to choose either "Off" (Left Soft Key) to power
off the device or "Lock" (Right Soft Key) to lock the keypad. To unlock the keypad,
select 'Unlock" by pressing the Right Soft Key, then choose "Yes".

may be your keypad is not working just try open the front facial of ur phone take out the rubber key pad and press the power button point on the main board with a screwdriver .and then change the keypad

my phone sometimes does this. all i have to do is turn it off and it is usually fixed istantly

If your phone has a keypad lock option, make sure that the keypad is not locked. Refer to the user manual to know how to unlock the keypad.

It is also possible that the keypad is defective and needs to be replaced.

first, take out the battery and press the RED end call key for 15 seconds, then put the battery back in and turn on the phone.

The default security code for Nokia is 12345.
Try this:
Take your SIM card out.
Make sure your phone battery is fully charged.
Press * 3 send at the same time and turn the phone on. Keep them pressed until the reset screen appears.
Give it time to reset.
Yes! I know. You need someone to press the ON button.

software problem, go to your service engineer and ask him to reformat your phone...
