I was playing cod 5 on my xbox picture quality rapidly deteriorated so i turned it off when i turned it back on i had no picture and no sound through hdmi lead so i tryed standard lead i had sound but no picture so i tried a different tv same problem but i had no flashing red ring on xbox any ideas please

This could happen for many reasons. It could be other people using up all you internet. If possible connect your xbox directly to your router or modem and see if that fixes the problem. If not use speedtest.net and see if the speed you are getting is what you are paying for.

There is really big chance for an Xbox 360 to completely ruin a game disc if it was moved while the disc is spinning inside, even the slightest bump or vibration could higly cause for a disc to be scratched. This also happens with other optical drives which has spinning motion, say DVD/CD players and other game consoles.

Unfortunatly your console has a graphics processor unit (gpu) fault, the console needs stripping down and new heatsink compound applying to the chip, this is basically the same fix for rrod, so there are plenty of free guides on youtube if you want to tackle this your self.

its the video chip in the console buy a new console its not worth the cost or the hassle for the price of them these days

ther is a switch on the cords on the end of that plugs in your xbox it has TV--HDTV make sur that the switch is but on TV

that cd may be f'd up if so go rent a new copy and see, if no help then send xbox back to microsoft for a refurbishing process.

Its to do with your router, every now and again your router settings will turn to strict, as you proberly not usings a xbox compatible router, dont worry not many people do, i dont neither.

All you have to do is just turn off the router for 30secs and turn it back on, this will allow you to play on live again.

Personally if you can, connect it to the routher via a ethernet cable, it provided a much faster connection.

Red Ring of Death, or Processor Failure. Call Microsoft and they'll send you a new one, once you send yours in.
