V-tech microphone I have a v-tech microphone thet the top piece that you speak into the wire net broke i want to replace it can you help me ? M W its a v-teck 1040 dynamic microphone

SOURCE: Shure 515SBG-18x microphone

The 515SBG does not come with a connector. They come from the factory as bare wire. Thus, every installation will be custom.

Everything works fine in my mps4500 system except if I speak to the microphone too loud, it will result the speak power off. How to fix it?

Microphone muffled

Try to talk with your lips touching the mic . If there is any improvement open the mic housing very carefully and bring the capsule as near as possible to the top part of the housing .

Contact Enter Tech at and ask about a replacement cable. It sounds like it's wired wrong and I couldn't find any details on the correct wiring on their web site. So, just replacing the cable is the best way out.

When the wire mesh protector on the top of the mic comes off how do you re-attach it?

The grill screws on. Thus, if it come off, hopefully it was because it became unscrewed, and not because it broke off. If it broke off, you'll need to get a new grill from Shure.

Sounds like it will have to have the element replaced. Investigate the repair cost versus replacement.

Mic distorting


If the foam is in pieces, one piece of the foam can come to the element while speaking (or singing).
Yu can buy new foam at your local Sennheiser dealer.
