Sounds like you have a short did you reset the breaker if so and still not working check the motor and electrical plug something has to be causing a short in order for your breaker to kick off

Check electric outlet and plug in to dryer, see if breaker is tripped in breaker box, should be a 30 amp double pole breaker. Turn the breaker lever all the way off to reset, then turn the breaker on.
Your dryer is a 220 appliance and should be on a circuit all by itself. Are the items in your circuit box labeled (Lights? kitchen, etc.) One should be labeled "dryer". If you cannot locate one that is labeled for your dryer, Check out the position of the circuit breakers. The dryer is on a different circuit as it is 240 volts. Look in your breaker box and find the breaker for it (it should be tripped half way). Turn it completely off and then back on. There is no reset button for it. Make sure the plug is securely pushed all the way into the outlet.
