Question about HP Pavilion dv4000 Notebook
I have never reformatted a computer before, I'm told its pretty easy, but if possible, I would appreciate some instruction on how to reformat my HP Pavillion dv4000 notebook. It needs to be reformatted pretty badly.. thanks
I am assuming you will be putting Windows back on your computer. If that is true, just put your Windows disk into your laptop and reboot. A setup menu will start and you will eventually be prompted to choose a partition to install on. Choose the C: drive and then another menu will ask if you want to format using FAT or NTSC. It may also ask either Quick or Full format. If you want a thorough format, choose full and NTSC. Otherwise just choose the Quick and NTSC. Your drive will then be formated and a fresh copy of Windows. I hope this helps.
