You say "it does connect to other computers on my network (Media Streaming) through the router" but it's not connecting to "Xbox Live"? If so, it sounds like a problem with your Xbox Live subscription.
Router should be connected via RJ11 cable to the phone socket to get internet service. Check the RJ11 cable at the back of the router. You can try to use a different RJ 11 cable for isolation or try to use the cable that you are using at the back of your phone. You can also check if you are getting a dial tone on the phone as well. thanks and kindly rate this post
We had a problem with our Xbox doing this, take a cable from one of the comptuers and then try to hook it up. If that don't work, look at the MTC or the username and password information for the router which you might need on the router. Do you need a username and pass for the router? If not then you can connect directly without putting the pass into xbox. This may help, but that was what the problem was on ours and Idk if it will work for yours.
How do you connect your Linksys router to Belkin router? Do you connect your Linksys router to the Internet/WAN port of the Belkin?
If so, what is the Internet connection type set in your Belkin router? Is it dynamic?
If the Belkin router is set to dynamic IP and if it is obtaining an IP address from your Linksys router(you may check the status page of your Belkin router and look for IP address), then you may need to forward or set that IP address as the DMZ to your Linksys router. Make sure that XBOX is still configured as the DMZ host in your Belkin
can you tell me what type of router you are working with. most routers have about 4 cat five cable slots where you can plug them into other computers. If you have a wireless router and you have a wireless adapter for the xbox that will work also.
another question are you working with the xbox360 and if so do you have an xbox live account?
another thing you might have to go into the setting of the router usally on the main computer to do this you will have to bring up the command prompt where it can be found at for windows 98/2000/xp/vista <start >all progams >accesses command prompt > type in ipconfig it will pop up with a default gateway and your ip you take the default gateway open your brosswer type it in. If you have not set up a password most routers have it as admin. from there i would need to know what kind of router you have ! hope that helps a little let me know djkb
isolate your problem. maybe it has something to do with your computer. try connection your pc directly to your modem. if it gets online there. the problem is with your router. try unplugging and replugging your router then restart your pc.
