Anti-freeze leaking from either the freeze plug or intake gasket. I need possible solutions. Tone Mac

could be intake, could be head gasket. take the radiator cap off and fill it to the brim with water, then start the engine and look for bubbles in the water. you might have to top it off while it's running to get a good reading. if any of the plugs you took out were much cleaner than the rest, or had a white crust deposit on them, the head gasket is probably the culprit.

oil in water is usually caused by bad intake gaskets. if the intake leaks, it will let oil in water. anti freeze flows in intake, if gasket is bad it will drain down inside of engine to the oil. good-day ! you may also see a anti freeze leak around outside of intake gasket that mounts to engine. if it is bad enough.

do a compression check on those 2 cylinders to rule out head gasket, check the new plugs you installed to see if they got fouled out, it is possible some anti-freeze may be leaking into those cylinders from the intake gasket.
1998 uses dex cool anti-freeze and it is known to eat away and corrode the gaskets.
the only good way to use dex cool is to mix precisely 50/50 and use distilled water.
switching to the green can cause water pump damage since they are designed for the lubricant in the dex cool.i mention the anti-freeze because a lot of people will change the gaskets and run the green only to have a failing water pump not long after, if you decide to switch make sure you replace the pump.

check all of your connection son your hoses to make sure that they are not leaking, if that checks out ok, then i would , pull the spark plugs out, 1 at a time, and give the car a compression test to see if any of the cylinders have a low reading, if so , it could very possible be a blown head gasket, also the intake manifold gasket sometimes leak and allows tthe anti freeze to escape into the oil, or into the exhaust port , and will be burned out, therefore creating a white smoke coming from the tail pipe, also when you have the plugs out , look at them to see if they have any anti freeze on them , if so, then this is definitely telling you that a head gasket is leaking or blown.

its the lower intake gaskets that go out on them

Not alot you can do but remove the intake plenum and have the gasket replaced.

It is possible that it may be the intake manifold leaking. If it is a 3.8 or 3.1 liter V-6 I would check the intake manifold gasket. These have a plastic gasket with silicone on each end that tend to crack and start leaking. you can normally see the leak behind the exhaust crossover pipe on the back side of the engine.

Rear crossover ports on the intake manifold, and/or freeze plugs at the rear of the engine. Also see if there is a hot water control valve for the heater in that area.

The freeze plugs on the back of the block could be corroded and leaking.

you more than likely have a blown head gasket ...
