Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-32FS120 32" TV
I came home yesterday went to turn on tv and it made a noise like it was turning on but indeed it shut completely off. since then I have absolutley nothing. no blinking lights...no lights at all to even show there is power connected to it. even the standby light won't even come on. it appears to be a bad power supply or something. I've unplugged it for 24 hours and plugged it back in and still no standby light no power no nothing. Any suggestions.
Thank you in advance.
Power supplies give a lot of trouble (besides the tube). there are two regulators that go bad very often. they may also take out the horizontal output. there are some capcitors, resistors, 2 thyristors (i believe 2) and diodes that are suggested to be replaced along with the two regulators. all of those parts are fairly cheap so it shouldn't be that big of a deal to repair (granted that is the problem and the only problem).
