Question about Dell A960 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Paper not feeding into printer properly

When I try to print the paper will grab on one side only and wrinkle up. I have looked for a jam and found none. The roller is clean. Its sounds like everything is working properly, however, it sometimes does not grab the paper at all. Is there any kind of manual maintainence I can try?

My HP laser printer 1300 had a paper jam

When printing or copying, paper will not pick up or feed into the HP LaserJet 1000, 1200 or 1300 series product causing paper jams or wrinkled output. Symptoms are as follows:
  • The pickup roller will spin and try to pick paper.
  • The paper will partially feed into the product accompanied by a crackling, crunching noise then jamming.
  • The paper may feed all the way through the paper path accompanied by a crackling, crunching noise. The output will be skewed and wrinkled.
SOLUTION: Reposition the black Mylar light shields back into the proper position.
  1. Unplug the power cord from the product.
  2. Remove the paper and paper input tray.
  3. Slide hands, palms side up, into the paper input tray cavity (see Figure 1) until the fingertips reach the end of the cavity. Figure 1: Paper input tray cavityc00068598.jpg
  4. Bend fingers up to push the black Mylar light shields back into place. The proper position of the black Mylar light shield will be flat.
  5. Reconnect the power cord.
  6. Print a self-test/configuration page to verify product is functioning correctly.

Epson C86: paper not feeding and prints at an angle

try feeding the paper through manually if you cant do this then try printing a blank page and see if this still wrecks the paper if it does then it does sound like something is jammed on the roller the best way to clean this is with a blast of air from a compressor this is the only sollution as it will cost more to replace the parts than it would to buy another printer if it is still under warranty they should replace it for you if not you could take it to a computer repair shop where they will strip it down adn rebuild it for you this is a paper feed problem but im sure their must be somethig sticking in the way or maybe the paper feed has come lose at the one end sorry i couldnt help you any more ........................................

It grabs the paper crookedly and causes it to

If you have previously had a paper jam, and it tore the paper, there could be a very tiny piece of paper stuck in the feed on the only takes something very tiny to prevent the paper from feeding correctly...a child dropping a little piece of food, it could be anything...but I'd be about 90% sure that it's there. I found one once and it was so small it took forever to find it, and it was even harder to get kind of have to work at it with some Q-tips, eyebrow tweezers2_bing.gif, a paperclip, something that you can go in and attempt to clear the feed. If you dont/can't find it you may have to take it apart, and that's not fun, and runs the risk of it "never" aligning be persistant.

FYI...I had another guy with the very same post today, and gave him the same suggestion...he found a pen cap in the back of his printer, get a flashlite, some very small tools, and have a look-see.

Paper jam in my new Lexmark x2600 inkjet printer

Hi there,

Here's how to clear printer paper jam.

  1. Pull the paper out if it is visible. If not, then open the top of the printer so that the jammed piece of paper is visible.
  2. Grasp the paper and pull gently but firmly. If the paper continues to jam in the printer, inspect the rollers to ensure that they are grabbing the paper and pulling it along the paper path properly.
  3. Check the paper path for any obstructions, and clear if found. Also, inspect the other parts that the paper travels through, to ensure that they are not dirty or gummy. If any dirt or other debris is found, clean the parts and try again.
  4. Close the top of the printer.
  5. Place the printer back online. Try the print job again.
Just let me know for further assistant.

Paper does not feed - GRABS RIGHT SIDE

gears below the paper feeding tray are damaged or some dust particle have blocked the gears try to clean it by blowing the dust use normal greece (oily substance) between the gears so that they can move frequently to pull the paper, and if the gears are damaged you have to change the gears.

My epson cs7800

I had the same problem and found a small spring was loose and interfering with the paper. The Spring was on the right side as you look at the printer, near the bottom of the paper feeder. I took it out and it works fine, for now.
