I am sorry to hear that your CD/DVD can't be read but in order to resolve your issue you need to have that drive working or have an external DVD/CD Drive to be able follow the below procedure and to resolve the compressed Boot Manager.

· Insert the installation DVD(Vista or Windows 7) in your Disc Drive and then power up your computer

· Click Repair your computer.

· Then click on Load Driver.

· Go to Computer.

· Right click on the partition your installation previously compressed> Properties.

· Uncheck "Compress drive to increase space available".

· Close all windows to restart the computer.

I have got an lg 500gb hard drive connected to my pc with an usb. suddenly it has died down its not being recognised by the pc i cant c any logo of its and i cant open it any ways..pls help

Your computer might be infected by a virus that's why when you plug the USB, the computer wont detect automatically. Here's the solution.
Right click on my computer then select Manage then click on Device Manager. Observer in the right side corner if you can see symbol "!" which means you need to update the driver.

I cant get blue ray o my aspir acer 6920

Assuming everything was working before you switched Operating Systems, the problem is likely that you still have the drivers for the previous OS. You should first make sure the old drivers are uninstalled by going into Device Manager, right clicking on the drive, selecting properties, going into the driver menu, and uninstalling them.

Then you need to find the Vista drivers for the drives (either go to the manufacturer's website, or just Google the model of drive you have) and install them. Make sure you restart your computer afterwords.

NEED WIZ"S HELP- CANT BOOT XP OR VISTA CD FROM DVD DRIVE

Hello,

I'll give a whack at this problem. I think the previous person meant blank drive NOT black drive (that doesn't make sense to me).
I would follow the previous persons in going to BIOS and making sure the first boot device is CDROM. My question to you is whether you've already done this or whether you need assistance with this process. If so, please tell me what computer model you have.
