Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone

My iphone's ipod stopped playing songs properly and i cant get connected to wifi even after i restored it it still has the same problem

I bought an unlocked 1.0.2.iphone. I live in the UAE everything was working great(for about a month or 2) untill one day when i was installing "we dict" it hung and started to act wierd so i pressed on the home button for 6secs then it gave me the home page but it was very slow and was hardly resonding so i restarted it but when restarted it i saw that there was "no service" so i went to settings and tappe n carrier but all i got was the word Error with a circle whirling above it. and then i noticed that my wifi wouldnt connect or detect my router, another problem i noticed was that when i played a song it would suddenly stop playing and then it would repeat the next word of the song like 5 times and then it would continue playing, and then again after a few secs it would do the same thing just like a scratched CD. so i restored it and activated and jailbroke it using apptappinstaller (because i have windows) but now i still have the same problems i cant connect to WIFI(when i tap on wifi it starts searching for exactly 2 seconds then that small circle which indicates it is searching just dissapears and dosent find a network even when im next to the router!!) nor can i call and i still have the same problem with the ipod in it... i want to virginize it hoping that will help. if any body can help me i would appreciate it alott....

Sounds like a firmware issue to me, so I would think updating the firmware should help. If not, virginizing it may, but since I haven't encountered this problem, I really can't say for sure.
Good Luck.

You'll have to search the Forums for the firmware, just key word search with your favorite search engine and you'll find Forums that will have informative threads and D/L links to what you need for your iPhone. Just read the threads and you'll find the D/L method that you prefer and firmware revision that are best to solve your issue.
It is going to take some more reading, as the last phone I had to Flash took quite a bit of reading before I was sure I wouldn't ruin my phone (I'm sure that you don't want to screw it up so read about others failing's and successes before doing anything. You could also find a local unlocker and pay for the service to your iPhone.

I cant download to my ipod i cant get sync in itunes..how do i download songs to my ipod

You just need to import your songs into iTunes library, then make a playlist with the songs, connect your iPod to computer, iTunes will detect the iPod automatically, then click iTunes menu "File -> Sync iPod", the songs will be transferred from iTunes to iPod.
If iTunes not works for you, You may try this ipod transfer, it's a nice iTunes alternative that can help you manage iPod files including delete, upload, play, copy, etc. It's much easier to use than iTunes.

Have you tryed restoreing the iphone?

Restore
  • Note: Because Restore erases all of the songs and files on iPod, make sure to back up any files you've saved on the iPod disk. All of your songs, videos, podcasts, audiobooks, and games can be loaded back to your iPod provided that you have them stored in your itunes Library.
How to restore your iPod:
For Windows:
  • 1. Make sure you've reinstalled the latest version of itunes.
  • 2. Open itunes, and then connect your iPod to your computer.
  • 3. After a few moments, it will appear in the source list in itunes.
  • 4. Select your iPod in the source list and you will see information about it appear in the Summary tab of the main itunes windows.
  • 5. Click the Restore button. You will be prompted with one or more restore options that may prompt itunes to automatically download of the latest iPod Software. The 4 possible restore options are:
    • Restore Option 1: Restore - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod.
    • Restore Option 2: Use Same Version - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod even though a newer version is available.
    • Restore Option 3: Use Newest Version - Restores with the latest iPod Software on your computer.
    • Restore Option 4: Restore and Update - Restores with the latest iPod Software on your computer.
  • 6. A progress bar will appear on the computer screen indicating that the first stage of the restore process has started. When this stage is completed, itunes will instruct you to leave iPod connected to your computer to complete restore.
  • 7. During the stage 2 of the restore process, the iPod will show an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remains connected to the computer or iPod Power adapter during this stage. Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see since the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
  • 8. After stage 2 of the restore process is complete and the iPod is connected to the computer, the itunes Setup Assistant window will appear asking you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences similar to when you connected your iPod for the first time.

My Ipod nano won't sync my play count

Is the problem with your iPod or your computer. If it's your iPod then try doing a 'Restore'. Connect your iPod with the cable that came with it to the USB port on your computer. In iTunes, click and (Restore). This will rebuild all the software on the iPod and restore your songs.

It is locked up

Maybe i shud start by explaining why most Ipods freeze or crash. When you unplug you ipod improperly this may and usually causes the itunes software to crush and stop functioning. The softwares corrupts and cant function. So you probably cant enjoy ua music.
With the viruses in your computer its easily to infect your ipod since ipod is a mass storage device also. Some viruses have a way of freezing the itunes software.

When it comes to restoring your ipod you need a computer that is not infected with viruses. you need to format your ipod if it cant be restored directly from the internet. After the ipod is completely formated which means you have done away with the viruses/all the songs you can restore it with itunes.

But there is also a way of recovering songs from your ipod before formating or restoring since if you format you get to loose all ua files without recovering them.

But the biggest problem is when your ipod is not even recognized by your computer. But if your computer can recognize your ipod as a mass storage even if its not syncing your music, there is a possibility restore it to normacy. The only rist is loosing all your data, but with an expert you dont have to loose anything.

If the problem still isn't fixed take it back to the shop for a replacement.

Music just stops playing

I had the same problem about a week after I got the iPhone and fixed it the only way I know - turn it off and back on again.
Hold down the button on the top of the phone until it restarts (there is a video tip on this on the iPhone section of Apple.com).
For me the problem went away and the it has worked perfectly since.
Good luck.
