I telephoned Colibri, Seth Thomas regarding clock repair about two weeks and was referred to CST Enterprises in East Providence, Rhode Island. UPS confirmed the clock was deliverd but there is no phone number when I checked with 411 information. Do you have a phone number in East Providence Rhode Island for CST Enterprises.

It is not normal. Metronome should wind almost the same as a clock. The cause for this 1/4 turn of a winder is that the driving spring do not unwind completely. That means there are mechanical or oiling issues. Show your metronome to any clock repairer (not the watch repairer) and he/she should be able to fix that.
Two winding arbours are in clocks with chiming, because there are two separategears in one clock and each one is driven by separate mainspring. Description for winding is: Wind each spring as long as you do not feel significant resistance. As soon as you feel the winding goes too hard - stop winding. Rate me, please.
mcdevito75 here, I believe you"ll need a special winding key to wind your Seth Thomas Clock, Best Bet, look for a small watch repair shop in your area, they may be able to order a key for you, have all info regarding the clock with you. Winding keys may also be on ebay under Vintage Clocks/watches.
Correct technique definitely is CLOCKWISE ONLY. You are unbelievably lucky person if did not damage striking mechanism within 25 years while adjusting hands anti clockwise. If I'd have such a luck, I'd try to play lottery. :))
Activate the crystal, then find the clock calendar function. Hold the center button for 5 seconds until a synchro appears on the data screen, then start pushing top button to move the minute hand to the 12:00 then push bottom button to move minute hand to 12:00. after this is done hold center button for 5 seconds and hans will move to match time on your digital display. Now that you are synched,you can set time as you normally would.

This is the clostest that I can come to getting you where you need to be. I can't find a downloadable manual, but according to Sector themselves, this is the best place to go or contact.
