I had already read similar on other sites prior to your reply, but thank you. FYI, another tip I got was to put the phone into a container of either rice or silicone pellets (available at craft stores) to help draw all the moisture out. We put ours into a container of rice, and voila, the phone works again!

Take the battery out, disassemble it, take every piece out, and clean them off with Deionized water, don't be afraid to get them wet again. Once you have cleaned them good, let them air dry for several days. Reassemble the phone and hope for the best! You will have about a 50/50 shot at not having any damage to the phone.

Hope this helps!

My screen want come on my phone because it water damage

Water damage is NOT covered by warranty or insurance. It may be cheaper to buy a new phone. Check prices and then ask for the repair cost.

Cell phone dropped in water - red dot showing - options?

you don't need to actually drop your phone in water for there to be water damage.
simple things like having your phone in the rain, in the bathroom while you shower, around a hot tub, or possibly even if it's really humid outside can set this water damage sensor off.
it just gives phone companies more ways to void your warranty.

hope this helped.

A1200 cover fell off

Yes, it can be fixed. You will have to probably get a new flex cable and solder the microphone wires to it once it is installed. It is a bit of work, but it can be done.
