Don't laugh! It works, except for send errors on 2 fax numbers at the same company today. It scans in the document just fine (done it about 5 times now), rings the other end, then never gets a good handshake. I had this diffuculty last summer, but got a good handshake when the other end gave me a different fax machine/number to try at their end.
Please don't tell me that my handshake is too old for perhaps newer machines on the receiving end. :(

I found information about this error and some approaches to solving it here:
and they can be tried in the order given. Hopefully either 1 or 2 or 3 on the list will work as they are non-cost options as opposed to number 4 which could be quite pricey.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya
One of you has likely changed their fax machine/system recently, and simply put, some machines do not 'play well' with others. There are some DEEP programming changes that could be adjusted by a tech, such as "baud rate", etc. but for one location, it's not worth it.
Ok, whatever is in the memory, you can clear it all out by resetting the main board.
If you wish to do this you can try this.
If i remember,,,,
hold at the same time 1 3 and # at the same time, hold them.
With the other hand power on the machine while holding the buttons....
hold them for about 10 seconds.
let go, and power off the machine.
power on the machine see if the memory messege went away.
If not, try holding the 0 button instead, or in a different routine hold the * button. this will reset the main board. It is cheaper than buying a new main board.
The problem is in the main board if this keeps on happening, the board has to be replaced.
On the console you should find menu buttons. Find jobs or job prints. Select your number job and print it.
The menu buttons have many features you can scroll through. The print reports can print out the menu of the different menus of the fax machne.
I found the solution today. First you go to Autralia Fuji Xerox website at http://www.fujixeroxprinters.com.au then select Driver - Xerox WorkCentre PE220. Download the Control Centre and Scan to PC together with WHQL_PE220_2K_Vista_SCAN (scan Driver) and WHQL_PE220_2K_Vista_GDI.zip (GDI Driver). Setup files are in Control Centre and Scan to PC folder. The rest will pop up new hardware found and browse to two other files dor perfect driver.
Hope this help because it's help me today. Thanks to Miss Chin from Pineaple Computer Store One Utama Malaysia.
There are 2 methods of sending 1. Through memory, in which the machine scans the document then sends when all pages have been scanned. 2. In real time, in which the document is placed in the ready mode and the line monitor or handset is used to dial the number. In this case the document is not scanned until a response is heard from the other machine.
However, in the case of the memory being full, either of documents in the queue or if there are documents waiting to be printed (because of no toner or no paper) then the machine will not allow sending from memory.
