Mixer stopped working. Seems like a resister marked M30 Tf125 C, 11C may be burned out. this resister is located beneath the yellow tape on the transformer windings. Where can I buy one?

Replace the fuse
located below the plug inlet on the mixer,(it is a 6.3A Fuse, 250V 5x20MM fuse from Radioshack) you have to remove the outer
panel to access it. I did the same thing, it stopped working while I was
mixing dough for bread, replaced it, good as new.
They seem to have a plastic gear built in as protection for overloading (prob). When the machine counters to much resistance that gear will strip its teeth causing the machine to not be able to turn, that it what seems to be the grinding problem. If it is not the plastic gear then it another gear that is "stripped(of its "teeth") I hope your problem is not a severe, but if your mixer is "locked up" then at least you found the problem.
Hi, The KitchenAid mixers are usually quite easy to work on if you are competent at DIY. It sounds like a gearbox fault. Gearbox parts are easy obtained for most of the models and are easy to repair.
This is a service manual for a lot of the KitchenAid mixers. Might give you an idea on how difficult it is to work on before taking the plunge.
It sounds like the switch to me.mixers last awhile as long as there not overloaded. The brushes in the motor also go bad but i think the switch is your problem.Goto home depot/lowes and take the switch with you, dont forget to mark the wires. If they cant help you goto graingers (its a electrical/plumbing wharehouse).let me know, you can use an universal switch if the one you cant find isnt availiable.
