Bought this sony blu-ray player sent it in S300 4ms after I bought it,now it will not play a disc again when you put the disc in it just set there and it will say No disc? Sony wants me to send it in and repair it for $112.00 with only a 30day warrenty.I do not think it is worth it .this player is only 2years old.

Check that you are playing the correct region coded discs for your player. Blu-Ray discs tend to be universal but not DVDs. If you are playing Region2 disc when the player is set for region 1 (American) then they won't play and again Vice Versa.
Step 1 Unplug the power cord of the Sony Blu-ray player. Plug the power cord back in. Turn on the Sony Blu-ray player. Turn on the TV to which the Sony Blu-ray player is attached. Wait for the "No Disc" text to appear on the front of the Sony's LCD display and on the TV's screen.
Step 2 Press the "Eject" button on the remote control. Wait for the disc tray to eject itself from the front of the Sony Blu-ray player.
Step 3 Press the "Disc Info" button on the remote control. Look for a number to appear on one of the upper corners of the screen of the TV.
Step 4 Press the "Disc Info" button repeatedly until the number "9" appears on the TV's screen. This number indicates that the Sony Blu-ray player is now set for "multi-region" and will play any Blu-ray disc that is commercially made.
Step 5 Turn the Sony Blu-ray player off using the remote control. Turn the Sony Blu-ray player back on using the remote control. Press the "Eject" button on the remote control to close the disc tray. Turn the Sony Blu-ray player off using the remote control.
Is your TV 1080p? If the Blu-Ray is putting out 1080p and your TV only supports 720p/1080i then you will get a message like this. Try changing your settings to 720p while it is connected to a TV that does display correctly, then move it back to the 47 in LCD.
It's something about the Burlesque dvd. I have the same problem with mine when I try and play it on my Sony blue-ray player. It's the only disc I have that it won't play. Disc is a DVD Video disc but it will no't play in the Sony player. It plays fine on other dvd players and my computer, but not on the Sony.
